Their curry base but without curry spices, you have Assam spices instead. It's quite interesting because Assam is usually not this thick, and execution was decent too
It's a thickened sauce, the ckn pieces were tender and numerous.
The sauce is as drinkable as always, the pork ribs were fine
This coffee shop located at 155 bukit batok street 11 have many popular food, from the hokkien mee, to the lor mee. Frequented this coffee shop when I was working nearby back in 2009. Wow, more than a decade ago. Place still feels the same.
Qiang Claypot Curry is "new" store to me, as I don't recall it being here 14 years ago.
The claypot curry chicken drumsticks comes with 3 pieces of potatoes. The curry was thick and creamy. Has the old school chinese curry taste, and wasn't spicy whatsoever, but still very tasty.
Cheap and affordable and Filling.
Located within the 155 Bukit Batok coffeeshop, Qiang traditional claypot curry offers not just a selection of claypot curry dishes such as curry vegetable, curry chicken wing, curry chicken noodles and curry lala, they also have claypot sesame chicken and claypot chicken rice on the menu!
The curry here is of a Chinese style, where it’s milder in spices but not paling in aroma nor flavour. Less spicy, but contrastingly creamy, somewhat reminded me of the kind I used to have in Primary school where I first started my curry expedition, homely and heartwarming. The claypot curry chicken drumstick boasts of a relatively huge chicken drumstick that’s pretty tender, and several potato chunks. The curry consistency is one that you could probably just have a plate of rice to mop everything clean.
Sausages were not as generous as the picture showed but this was a very good surprise
One of the best I've had lately, the rice comes burnt with crunch and the ckn was very clean tasting.
Highly recommended if you're in the area
