Qiji (Northpoint City)

Qi Ji can always be trusted to serve decent quality popiah. It’s not the best popiah, but it is good, and there’s generally a good amount of vegetables and juicy shrimps. I usually ask for reduced sweet sauce, otherwise it is too sweet.

Lunch at @qijisg in @northpointsg which took over the space formerly occupied by Black Ball.

Mutton Rendang Set 仁当羊肉餐 (S$7.90)
Mutton rendang, coconut flavoured rice, curry vegetables, omelette, achar

Laksa (Deluxe) 叻沙（豪华） (S$7.50)
Fish cake, bean curd puff, clam, scallop, prawn, bean sprouts, thick bee hoon

Nasi Lemak Set 3 (S$5.60)
Fragrant pandan coconut rice, served with signature sambal chilli, crispy ikan bilis & peanuts, egg (sunny), coin-shaped otah and chicken cutlet.

Mee Siam (S$4)
Brown rice vermicelli served with tau pok, hard-boiled egg and bean sprouts, and Qi Ji’s spicy-sour light gravy.

Popiah (Premium) 溥饼（特级） (S$3.90)
Chicken cutlet, cucumber, carrot, crab stick, and the usual popiah filling

Ice Lemon Tea (S$2.40/ large)
Lime Juice (S$2.40/ large)
Coffee Milk (S$1.60)

The spring roll was served first but without any cutlery so have to turn back to ask. Staff replied cutlery will come with the rest of the food. Nana remarked why no egg yolk in the fried egg in Nasi Lemak. Mom remarked that the drinks were full of ice cubes.
