This isn't rougamo. Their skin is almost croissant like, super crispy and flaky. I'm not saying it's not good but that's not what it is

The filling is very good, gelatinous and full of juice. Packed w umami, it's a pity the ratio isn't optimal. Still respectable tho, considering their flaky skin probably can't hold too much filling without breaking.

It's alright if you're in the area

my second time eating this but i felt that the first round was better.

not too oily and and packed with meat and some veg

Would recommend the value-for-money set that comes with a drink. The milk tea with grass jelly ($4.20) was fragrant in tea aroma, not too sweet, and with chewy jelly.

First time trying this XiAn speciality snack and enjoyed the tender braised pork meat in a crispy and highly flaky baked bun. Decent portion of fillings that wasn’t overly oily or salty. Only wish was for more vegetables for better balance.

Sour and spicy potato noodle with minced pork ($8) - Ultra chewy noodles (loved it!) tossed in a rich mala broth. Heavy on the MSG but hearty. Served with minced meat, crispy deep fried chickpeas, and preserved vegetables.

Ordered a Pork Rougamo ($4.90) and Grass Jelly Milk Tea ($2.90). Prices are exclusive of GST.

The Pork Rougamo consisted of shredded pork meat and capsicum in a baked crispy (and flaky) bun. The bun was 💯 and the filling was so flavourful and juicy! Only towards the end you’d realise that the juice was relatively oily but it wasn’t jelak and I think it’s fairly worth the calories for this taste 😂

The Grass Jelly Milk Tea was smooth and not too sweet, I’d say it’s worth purchasing!

Would come back to try the main dishes!
