The infamous Bluder Cake 🎂 at @QuentinsSg with about 20 egg 🥚 yolks in it.
No it’s not available on the menu.
One of the dishes which we had during the #OnTheRedDotCh5 Heritage Food Trail by @mediacorpch5 .
It was quite dense which reminded one of a certain kueh.

Got to know about this restaurant from #nocfoodking . Decided to give it a go as Eurasian cuisine was pretty rare and piqued our interest.
Ambience is cozy and suitable for group or family gatherings. We were there on a Thursday night and there was a liveband belting out oldies. The food was decent but portioning was generous for 2 people. The Babi Assam had a thick gravy with a tinge of tanginess but we would've enjoyed it more if it was spicier. Patchri, a grilled sweet & sour eggplant dish, was interesting but failed to wow us.

What we ordered:

Babi Assam × 1 = S$ 20.80
Patchri × 1 = S$ 7.70
Rice × 1 = S$ 3
Arora Cabnet Red Glass × 1 = S$ 16.50
Draft Beer - Pint × 1 = S$ 11
17% ( Svc Charge + GST) = S$ 10.44
Total Paid= S$ 69.44

Signature sugee cake, it is a traditional Eurasian cake made of semolina and almond.

The curry itself was watery and tangy with a slight spice sting. The chicken and chicken sausages did their job of curry absorption best as they could, but I was most intrigued by the bacon bones, which were essentially pork bones with the flesh tasting exactly like its name suggests! Exotic stuff. 3.5/5

Essentially economic rice (菜饭) okra as interpreted by bomohs trained in the darkest of arts. This was the most unassuming item from my meal at Quentin’s, yet the one I will most definitely be returning for. The soft and slightly mushy okra was coated with this salty yellow substance that is so show-stoppingly addictive and delicious, you are physically unable to resist its demand that you go for another spoonful of ladies finger even whilst you’re still chewing your current mouthful. Serious sorcery here. 4.4/5

The big and juicy prawns were slathered with a curious paste that tasted like it was made by dejuicing the essence from a hundred rambunctious pigs. Good for bacon enthusiasts or pig haters. 3.4/5
