Awesome portion of juicy pork slices.
Hint of ginger aftertaste, nice collaboration with fluffy Japanese rice, satisfying and really hits the spot.
Highly recommended!

Look, imma keep it real chief. Ramen Champion is pretty basic bitch tier. No amount of advertising from their PR handler about how these ramens are the recipe of some supposed ramen sensei from Japan is gonna change that, alright. Yeah, it’s light years better than ajisen, but that’s trash tier.

However, the God Ramen ($15++) has put a pretty meaty dent in that perception. The broth was much thicker than many other ramen broths out there, and the broth was both overbearingly salty & sweet at the same time, oddly enough. It proved too much to bear, and I left a good deal of it behind. However, that perfectly cooked pork belly shabu shabu was worth its weight in gold. If gold was edible & delicious, that is.⠀

Seriously, the over-abundance of stellar shabu shabu alone was worth the $15++ I paid. Sure, the broth is too intense on it’s own, but it’s the perfect, salty soulmate for the pork belly. On God.⠀

Lots of goodies squeezed into a big bowl. The pork slices were so good. Fat meat ratio was good and it was melt in the mouth tender. The portion of noodles was huge. Thick and chewy. So yummy.

This salad bar was quite impressive. Got lots of fresh produce and sauces available. I couldn’t try everything cos the ramen was such a big bowl and I was seriously going to have food coming out of my ears....

From Joshoken, this huge bowl had the full works. Fried chicken were juicy and crispy, and the mountain of bean sprouts was unbelievable. Thick garlicky soup was the best. Spicy too. Noodles were the thick chewy kind which I really liked. An amazing bowl.

I will be the first to admit - my photo doesn’t do the “Swimmer Crab Tsukemen” enough justice. The tastiness of this dish needs to be eaten to be believed.
Awarded the second prize in Japan’s biggest ramen competition in 2016, the dipping sauce for the noodles is a potent blend of rich tonkotsu (pork) base, umami crab broth and crab extract, as well as garlic, sesame and some secret spices. Two whole days are required for the flavour to reach the right intensity. Only then is the dipping sauce deemed ready to be served with a bowl of Ramen Champion’s signature Chubuto Straight Noodles topped with slices of tender Chashu.
Don’t miss out on stirring in the spicy minced pork that comes in a separate saucer because it adds an oomph factor. And if the richness gets a bit too much, take a sip of the clear broth.
