Always worth the queue for tasty ’King’ ramen.
Complimentary hard boiled eggs & Moyashi bean sprouts salad really hooked some regulars.
Chosen the one with all the toppings for indulgence.
Friendly service & really cool place.

One of my favourite ramen place and was really lucky that there is no queue as we reached much earlier before the crowd!

Perpetually swarming with queues every single day, we took the opportunity during the off-peak hour of 4pm to finally grab some noodz from super popular Tonkotsu King. A fairly rich and porky soup base, well-flavoured molten ajitsuke tamago, and huge slice of non-descript but acceptably tender cha shu make for a satisfying but otherwise avaerage bowl of ramen for me.

As compared to the sweet, umami flavour of the tonkotsu king broth, the black spicy tonkotsu spells out a peppery, garlicky finish. The trimmings of chashu and seaweed are great, as one would expect from a Keisuke outlet. I skimped on adding anything else so I could focus on wiping out the jar of free flow beansprouts (heaven!) and hard boiled eggs.

My 2nd visit to try their ramen. Black ramen is better than the red ramen thou. Black ramen seems more peppery as compared to the red which is more of chilli oil kind. Ordered the Special Toppings for all 3 ramen. Noodles were cooked perfectly and the broth was salty and strong to my liking. So glad it came to Paya Lebar.

I really enjoyed the pork belly slices instead of the usual slab of meat (which is more often than not, dry or rough and generally unpleasant). The noodles were also great and the portion size was so huge that both my friend and I were stuffed.

One thing to note is that the ramen broth here is already very thick and quite oily - even so when we opted for the lighter soup base. Otherwise, the ramen is great!!

Of course, I consumed enough of the free bean sprouts to probably account for half of the tub..... Also!!! The staff were really helpful and even helped us peel one of the free hardboiled eggs each!! (Which was probably because we came when it had just opened, but it was a really nice gesture!)
