With so many food choices around Serangoon Central, this coffee shop underneath HDB block opposite it still attracts the local residents coming for the foods here.

Rayben King Seafood Soup is one of the popular stall here, serving their signature seafood soup.

They started at Bishan before moved to this place, and offered more choices to suit the more tastes.

The soup taste exactly how it looks like, milky and rich. You could enjoy the umami flavour that boiled with seafood for long hours.

The seafood soup comes with the fish, white lala, prawn, minced pork, tofu and tomatoes. Generous ingredients to go with the warm soup.

Lobster for under $15? For only $13* you can snag yourself a bowl of ๐—Ÿ๐—ผ๐—ฏ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฝ from Rayben King of Seafood Soup, which is conveniently located near Serangoon MRT Station.

Even though itโ€™s only half a lobster, it was huge and accompanied by two prawns, fish slices, clams and some meatballs. The flavourful broth possessed the sweetness of all the fresh seafood, with the meaty, crunchy lobster undoubtedly the star.

A claw-some bowl of seafood soup indeed!

*Only on Mondays, T&Cโ€™s apply. Other days $19.

Just a short walk from NEX, Rayben is located under HDB block 204.

Their soup was really damn good, the broth was soooo good, the saltiness was just right.

The seafood was all fresh, the prawns tasted like live prawns. The batang fish was a huge chunk. The lobster was also huge and there was roe in it as well. The sotong was also so soft.

Can feel the effort put in by the owners for this seafood Soup.

Sharing this hearty bowl of XXL Seafood Soup from Rayben King Seafood Soup that my mom and I enjoyed a few days ago! At $38, it comes with a generous amount of ingredients like a full lobster, flower crab, big prawns, clams, squid, batang fish slices, minced meat, tofu & tomatoes (I topped up $6 for 2 Japanese Scallops)! The soup is rich and filled with an umami sweetness from the fresh seafood, and I was told that no MSG is used in their soup too! I also found their homemade chilli to be spicy and quite shiok!

If youโ€™re keen to order, you can DM them on their social pages or WhatsApp +65 8837 2118. Available for pick up at their shop and islandwide delivery.

Bad photo but impressive food. Seafood soups have sprouted up everywhere and some don't come close to Yan Ji's bar. Rayben does. Here the basic bowl is already $9 but comes with fish, one prawn, clams, one Pacific clam, sotong, tofu and the trademark meatcake. It guarantees oomph for your soup and a satisfying meal. Double the price and you get lobster, crab and scallops.

The XXL bowl is recommended to be shared between two pax, served with a choice of thick/thin bee hoon or rice. Featuring in the huge bowl is a whole deep rock lobster, flower crab, batang fish, squid, pacific clams, white clams, tomato and tofu in a broth packed with rich flavours from different types of crustaceans.

The soup contains sweetness from flower crab and lobster, accompanied by a good mix of seafood and umami goodness. We added huge scallops for $3 each and found it worth every penny. What we got was definitely a huge bowl of premium seafood at affordable prices. Indeed a comforting and satisfying meal when we paid them a visit on a cold and rainy evening without the need to brave the long waiting time as seen on other reviews.

For those who are looking for smaller portions, they also have L ($8.80) and XL ($18) bowl meant for one pax. The L bowl excludes flower crab and lobster which also means that you will be missing out on some sweetness from those crustaceans or go for XL bowl that is similar to XXL except it is 40% of the portion served for one pax.
