R&D Wanton Mee (Bukit Merah)

Have been visiting this stall for a dinner treat of wanton mee whenever I feel like having lunch food for dinner .

Weird I know - but wanton mee has traditionally been lunch food for me - seldom dinner 🤣

But there are days when you like lunch for dinner and R and D will not disappoint .

Ask for your noodles sans the black sauce if you prefer a savoury note to your noodles and be sure to try the QQ horfun which is quite a rare find these days .

There’s something satisfying about having that white QQ horfun with that excellent old style homemade chilli and that well glazed char siew.

Both the noodles and horfun are good - which is petty rare - most do one better than the other .

Portions are also generous and service is brisk and polite 🥰

Noodles so good - you can even eat it on its own.

Pretty sick of rushing around to queue for “ famous stalls” .

Sometimes you just want something reliable and decent - R and D ?

Nevermind about the name - the tender char siew , al dente Noodles and spicy chilli 🌶 were absolutely on the spot .

The wantons are plump - just slightly over seasoned - might be ok for those of you who need a sodium shake up .
