Overall, this dish was super satisfying!! The rose sauce is a combination of the usual spicy tteokbokki sauce and cheese sauce, and the flavors of both complemented very well. The tteokbokki was super chewy! Crispy chicken was average and mandoo was not bad. Other ingredients included the fishcake, egg, ramen, cabbage and udon! Really loved the sauce and the tteokbokki! Abit pricy though, but can fill 3 people.

Red Holic specialises in korean rice cakes and dumplings. This dish of tteokbokki stew with beef brisket is in original sauce (able to select less/more sweet/spicy) and comes with a variety of ingredients such as egg, fish cake, glass noodles, ramen noodles, sweet cabbage, thick rice cake, and skinny rice cake. Rice cakes came in 2 versions: the thicker ones were more firm but still soft, while the skinny ones were nua. Beef brisket was grilled slightly, adding another dimension to this dish. Upon first taste, the stew was delightful and delicious but became jelat towards the end when the sauce has boiled down.

This is a huge pot of stew and can feed 2 famished persons or 3 persons satisfyingly.

I loved this bowl of simple salty soup. The soup provides a good contrast to the thick gochujang sauce (if you’re ordering their stew as well!). Folded strips of fishcake on sticks were thick, juicy, with a slight chewy bite. So filling.

Hidden in a maze of Korean restaurants on Tanjong Pagar Road, this joint may not stand out. However, once you find it you'll be faced with an amazing Tteokbokki ($28.90) stew which sees tteok with fried chicken, glass noodles, instant noodles, quail eggs and fish cakes. For an extra cheese topping add on the Cheese Fall ($5.50)! For sides get their Giant Mandus ($12) and Fish Cake Soup ($8) for a truly authentic experience!

SO GOOD......sometimes carbonara sauce can be overpowering and heavy but this isn’t at all!! Got the cheese waterfall ($5) that added to the creaminess of the dish so 4 people shared this and felt full (this pot was meant for 2 pax). Tteokbokki was soft enough and there wasn’t any difficulty chewing them!!! Super yummy 10/10 recommend + the delicious fried mandus ($3.50 for 2)

Finally made my visit here! Tteokbokki stew is good enough for 2 of us. I like the balancing taste of spiciness and sweetness of Korean food.
