Portion for 3/4 paxs

Fish head curry served in a claypot loaded with fleshy fish meat, cabbage, lady finger, long bean, fried tofu skin and tau kee. Their portion comes in 3 sizes with a small portion serving only fish steak while medium and large comes with a choice of fish head or tail. Each serving is freshly prepared upon ordering where they will place the fresh fish steak/head/tail into the claypot, add in the vegs and curry to cook it over the fire before serving it bubbly-hot to our table.

If you are expecting curry with a very thick consistency then you may not appreciate this place. The curry gravy here is not heavily saturated with coconut milk which is less jelly and drinkable. The fish meat absorbs the savoury curry gravy well and goes perfectly with rice. A small portion is just nice for 2-3 pax 》RM40 / Small (Fish Steak)

It's time to consider having curry fish head for breakfast because the waiting time nearer to lunch hour is approximately 1 hour and they are not open for dinner.

Throwback Sunday! This famous curry fish head place has renovated & extend another unit next to the original unit. Spacious and clean. Nice to be back again although the prices has increased as compared 2 years ago. Yummy 😋👍

"Made with a variety of spices from Malay & Indian cuisine, the curry is super flavourful & addictive. The fish head is very tender too".
This legendary shop has a long que regardless of the time of day, and a bowl of curry fish head for 1 starts at RM22.

One of the more popular JB restaurants with a perpetual queue specializing in fish curry. Served piping hot in a claypot, the curry was complex with its mix of spices and rich seafood flavours. A good level of spice that was addictive without being too numbing or rich.

Served with crispy taupok that soaks up the curry, and various vegetables - cabbage, lady finger, long beans, and tomato. The sea bass head had dismal amount of meat, but what we could scrap off was fresh and tender, enhanced and not overpowered by the aromatic curry (just wished there was more!).

Have the curry with a bowl of rice and it’s so satisfying. Worth sweating it out in the non-air conditioned section of the restaurant (p.s lucky ones might get seated in the newer air-conditioned section).

For those who don’t want to make the journey/ queue in line, frozen curry packs of this famous gravy is being sold in Singapore 😂 .

If you are a fans of curry fish head that can't eat very spicy but love that fragrant of curry powder, do not miss this shop. They served only 1 dish, that is the curry fish head. Possibly due to they concentrate on 1 thing, and they made it real good. Fresh fish, abundant of beancurd, some vege and generous curry soup. A small portion is good to go for 2 small eater. Price: RM20 per small pot exclude tax, Food: 8/10
Oops, and there are a few other curry fish head shop at this area. Some has similar name, but I never tried the others. Just this for now, and it is the most crowded one for the 3 shop I pass through. They open until 4pm only and expect some queue.
