We we’re late in reserving a table for Sunday’s brunch and this was the best we could get. However we were lucky to have found this place and we loved it. It’s a small place with limited number of seats but it’s a great place to hang out with friends or family alike for a good brunch I would say. I ordered “Oceans Thirteen (16SGD)”, the name was quite interesting and it addition it came with things that I love, Smoked salmon, poached eggs, guacamole, beetroot marmalade, arugula, ikura, toast. Had also ordered strawberry smoothie to go with it but didn’t like it that much. Overall the food was really well done and would love to visit a next time.

Pretty good ocean's thirteen which is Smoked Salmon Benedict. Eggs nicely done, smoked salmon tasted good, love the bread! Plus it comes with avocado, beetroot and ebiko which makes a good combination of flavours.

Had a lovely brunch in this quiet corner @ Bukit Timah Plaza; got myself Ocean’s Thirteen and it was really really good! :) one of the better sourdough I’ve had, and they’re generous with their portions too! Will definitely be back to have more!

Tomato soup comes with a side of cheese toast! Soup was those thick kind with some olive oil drizzled on the top.

Mix fresh raw vegetables in a bowl with a side of honey balsamic dressing. Clean diet before CNY feasting!

The pork taste good, perhaps it will taste better with burger bun

Avo-ka-dukkah: Perfectly poached eggs that simply burst open with the yolks drizzling down over the toast. Not really a fan of the haloumi cheese though but the rest were spot on!

Ocean’s Thirteen: Smoked salmon, poached eggs over toast. What is there left to say? But the eggs for this came slightly overcooked but still good regardless!

Pulled pork was well marinated and served with Apple slaw that gives a slight sourness to balance out the saltiness. Yumms

Great texture on the fries - crispy edges and soft centres. The savoury mentaiko sauce drizzled all over is what makes this dish stand out from the rest. Yummy pairing!

Waa deciding between this and Hei Amigo (their take on Huevos Rancheros, because I miss all the Mexican food I had back in the States!) but I gave into the avocado! It was surprisingly delicious! The poached eggs x2 were perfect, the sourdough toasts were perfectly toasted (you know how some cafes serve really tough and chewy toasts!), and the grilled Halloumi were super delish! Ambience was lovely on a National Day afternoon, quiet and cosy. Be back for the coffee and perhaps to try "Hei Amigo"!

Always love it when the barista puts it an effort into a latte art! Coffee was good ("a hug in a cup"), comforting nuttiness. Hearsay the beans are from Dutch Colony Coffee Co.?

It had a crispy crust while retaining tender and moist inside. There was a strong sweet honey taste without much lemongrass/ginger and more sauce would have been good. The #pulledporkburger had quite a generous amount of meat and purple cabbage. While cooked well with a soft bun, it’s nothing spectacular. 📍@riseandgrindco, Bukit Timah Plaza #L1-CA1, S588996

I’d say this burger is a fancier, mexicanised take on McDonald’s Mc Chicken! Not too sure how one is supposed to eat this sans deconstruction - with the top bun set aside, tortilla chips are stacked precariously upon the roundish patty and topped with guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Pretty firm and springy patty, almost like biting into a fish cake...or a really thick grilled nugget 😅 The sweet potato mentaiko fries (+$2) were more of a hit though! Each strand was crisp, hiding fluffy, subtly sweet insides. Mentaiko sauce came loaded with beads of fish roe; providing multiple savoury bursts amidst the creamy goodness!

$15 for this one, quite interesting and flavourful! The truffle taste was strong and the texture of the runny egg complimented it very well. Also tried their tom yum seafood pasta ($17), the tom yum wasn't strong enough and tasted quite artificial.

A vibrantly coloured dish that brightens up the morning. It’s a mess of everything nice. Smoked salmon on toast, with creamy scrambled eggs, topped with salmon roe. Complete with everything else I don’t eat, beetroot and sorts.
This small cafe hidden within Bukit Timah Plaza is a such a great find!

The other thing is their sweet potato fries coated in a thick mentaiko mayo sauce. I love mentaiko anything and this was no exception. Granted, its not the healthiest thing around but then again, if I was looking for healthy, I’d be having a salad.
