This eggy rice bowl came quite late in the course meal, and unfortunately to a fast-filling belly. The beef doused in yolk was excellent, thinly sliced yet thick in flavour. Truffle slices added a nice touch, though the aroma did feel a little underwhelming.
A pretty sizeable slab of foie gras, nicely cooked to have all of its fatty goodness melt in your mouth. To cut through the richness, have it with the dollops of plum and that crunchy biscotti.
Loved this one for how clean the flavours are. Sweet pear with slightly ever so zesty gelee and creamy vanilla ice cream. Perfect if you prefer a mild dessert to pair with subtler Japanese flavours.
While this is a stunning dish, and the sashimi sufficiently fresh and beautifully cut, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the very delicate live lobster and the slightly rigid abalone. Would recommend going for the simpler and more flavourful cuts instead!
Crisp, sugary meringue with a dollop of cream, chunky sweet mango and zesty passion fruit. There’s a lot happening in this deceptively simple dessert, and refreshingly so! A nice, clean way to cleanse the palate after the multi-course meal.
Fresh, skillfully put together cuts with just the right amount of rice. Especially enjoyed the subtle hamachi and earthier unagi with a sweet soy finish.
