Previously it was disaster, had it this time during dinner so it's better, at least it's not cold

The char siew glaze was great as before, there's a bite, it's not the super tender kind but the texture was pleasant

Siobak was slightly crispy, but still quite greasy even tho it's not as bad as it was before(I requested for a less fatty part)

Rice was nice, it's got a mild umami

Overall pretty decent this time, worth a try if you're in the area

It was one of the best shao rou that I have ever had in SG! Had expectation because of the rave reviews I had from people but it was as good as I have imagined it to be! The char siew was on the sweet side, the caramelisation was amazinggg

Not sure if they hardsell me but they made it sound like 200g is the minimum for ala carte.

This was DISGUSTING. I went at 3pm? And everythibg on the plate was literally COLD. If you thought coming at weird times to avoid the crowd is a good strategy, you're dead wrong for this stall

Siobak had a gradient of fat to lean ratio. The fatter end was pretty much inedible. Heavily salted too at the surface. However despite being cold some parts still had a very strong crunch

Char siew had a really solid glaze that's sweet. That's the only aspect that makes me think they're raveworthy. Otherwise it's actl a very lean cut, not very well charred and thus no crunch at all, and the meat itself didn't have the best texture. Just average for something of this leanness.

Sauce was like char siew glaze but with a much stronger savoury slant.

Very, very disappointed. I went to the branch at paya lebar before and was blown away. Yet the original is so unprofessional, serving cold food

My favorite char siew and roasted pork rice. They have good combination of thick but yet juicy. I like that they use pork belly for their charsiew!

Even for takeaway and looking like this, this was very good. The char siew was moist and smoky, while the roast meat was fatty and crispy. And I appreciate the rice was chicken rice, not white rice.

Went at 6pm on a Friday and surprised that they were not sold out and no queue either! We got the small charsiew rice ($4.50) which I guess is really meant for small eaters. However the charsiew was real good! Juicy, charred and sweet, they're easily gone with a few bites. I guess quality >quantity. Will most probably buy it again if there's no queue.
