My fav pasta is probably pappardelle in a tomato based sauce, so this is right up my alley! Pasta was cooked al-dente, sauce was rich and had good flavour, pork cheek was tender and easy to cut/bite. Had a very slight spicy note (think they put some chili powder) which was a good idea! (Most people would probably not be able to taste the v slight spiciness, I can only taste it bc I’m weak HAHA). Most places do a beef pappardelle, so this was a nice change.

My lunch bud had a crab tagliatelle which I had a bite of, it was not bad! Shall have it as my main next time perhaps :)

wow this unassuming fried chicken sandwich from @rookerysg was really really good. Would rank this on the same or higher than their cheeseburger! Get it one for one with #burpplebeyond

I love the Crabmeat Pasta ($24) from Rookery. The Tagliatelle pasta is coated in a rich tomato cream sauce that is packed with shredded crabmeat - so delicious that I scrapped every last bit of it clean🤤 P.S. There is a one-for-one deal on Burpple Beyond!


The crab meat pasta ($24++) is a close contender for being my favourite at rookery! The tomato cream base holds the components well without being too overwhelming, and has just a hint of spiciness that adds to the dish. Really love the generous use of garlic too! The blue swimmer crab meat is soft and retains its flavour perfectly. Found the tagliatelle a little soft, but the herbed breadcrumbs added a crunch that made up for it. Definitely one of the best crab meat pastas out there!

The pork cheek pasta ($23++) is hands down my favourite dish at Rookery - the pappardelle gives a good bite with its thickness, and the use of red wine in the tomato sauce gives it a delicious acidity that cuts through the starchy pasta. The pork is also incredibly well done! The bite sized pieces are tender and fall apart easily. The herbed breadcrumbs, parmesan and parsley sprinkled on top add a little dimension to the texture. A definite must-try!! 👍🏼🌟

Not overly crowded during a weekday evening even though this was conveniently located near town, and we LOVED the truffle steak that was done to perfection and the crab meat pasta was fresh and the sauce, while a little salty, elevated the pasta really well! Can’t wait to be back!
