I should have taken a before photo as this was beautifully presented but it was too good so I ate it. Amazing place will come again

The smoked duck squid ink pasta was really good! Mixing up that poached egggg~~~~ It just make you slurping for more. Pasta was cooked well and squid ink was really thick and sticky. (P.S. not a good dish for your first date 🙄)

Sweet potato fries ($15) - loaded with stew pork, jalapenos and feta cheese!! The fries are baked with alot of cheese melted on it so they are not as crispy but it taste pretty awesome still!

Porcini mushroom rice ($18) - Italian rice cooked with yellow boletes, oyster mushrooms, black fungus and porcini with shaved parmigano. Thought the rice would be as soft as risotto; but it wasnt... BUT, the whole makeup with the ingredients mentioned gave it a very fragrant and additive taste!

Btw, Everything is nett, no GST no service charge!Sadly, the boss would be leaving soon and the main dishes will no longer be served.. so do check it out before oct ends!

The crab pasta arrived looking simple and unpretentious without any strong colours or fancy plating, just a good portion of Capellini topped generously with crabmeat chunks and garnished with a single slice of turnip. But, it was very delicious.
Like its presentation, the flavors in this dish were less intense and more subtle. The sauce base used in this pasta is a delicate lobster bisque that managed to exude a light umami flavor with a hint of tomato without being salty. The crabmeat chunks were fresh and tasted like they were cooked in a good soup stock rather than just being steamed. I will be back again!

Hearty parmigiano risotto with seasonal baby root vegetables at this slightly far out joint in Little India. Hearty and earthy, but everything just felt a tinge too stodgy on the palate.

With a touch of fusion. Braised cabbage, mustard seed and grape compote, a little light and sweet with the pork done perfectly, not too tough yet firm, with a little crisp added to the edges. It's a truly hidden gem!

I loved every single dish here, it was all bursting with flavour and richness. I can't rave enough about their porcini mushroom risotto, I could eat on and on and on. It's seriously that good. My other friend ordered the Loaded Sweet Potato Fries, which was apparently really addictive and good. The server was also super friendly and nice, even though I was wearing school uniform. Students usually get quite bad service in some places, so it was really pleasant to have had such a pleasant experience here!

Wished they were more generous with the toppings, but still this was really delicious. The melting cold ice cream on top of the moist, dense banana bread. I absolutely love the banana bread, which was dense and soft in the centre with even a slightly eggy taste and a more crisp (but only in some areas) exterior.

This dish hit all the right notes - crunchy pine nuts, chewy short rice grains, creamy risotto and cheesy toppings. The best part was still the mushrooms though - my friends and I kept digging back for the generous amounts of mushrooms and gobbling them up. Service was quite good as well!

I am absolutely blown away at how smooth and truffle infused this egg mousse is 😱 (point of note: it is topped with caviar and filled with mushrooms inside) The egg was just the right amount of egg, and the perfect balance of truffle flavour and savoury.

First of all, service is excellento. I don't thinkbive ever had a better service experience. Perhaps it's because the owners were serving us themselves. But it was top notch. The ambience is amazing too. Very Cosy and not too noisy. Very comfortable dining experience without being pretentious. One of the owners is/was an ID so he did the deco. We had the cod, it was delicious, but the first cod was slightly undercooked for our preference, and they gave us a brand new one when we simply asked them to cook it a bit longer. Highly recommend!! Whether for dates or family or friendly gathering

Pretty bad experience, i had my birthday dinner over here. We have ordered egg truffle & mousseline, crab meat angel hair and nagono pork rack. The egg truffle were making me & my bf vomit, perhaps it simply does not suit our taste; we keep our faith on main course. Then we try on crab meat angel hair, I would say it was the most "okay" one in our meal, but yet, it taste so normal, not really impressive. Lastly, our Nagono pork rack, we were so disappointed with this, the pork wasn't well marinated and the meat was so hard and difficult to chew, felt so disappointed. Our total bill : 64 dollar. And so.... My birthday dinner doesn't ended in a good way. It's really important for a sincere review for their improvement or for others have a better idea on choosing the right dinner place. Thats all for today! Hope they will have more improvement soon!

This place certainly lives up to the hype. Hard to get to and parking is a pain (unless you're lucky enough to get a lot within the premise) but certainly worth a visit. Their menu is small but each dish is very well done! This pork rack was well marinated and goes really well with the interesting side dishes of braised cabbage and grape compote. Decent prices with no service charge or GST, made even more worthwhile with the entertainer app.

Had the chance to do a short interview and published my first map with a list of dishes with truffle in Singapore!
Featuring the Egg & Truffle Mousseline ($4) - served atop egg tray and the creamy and fluffy egg white melt in your mouth with a robust truffle aroma. The lip-smacking dish was further topped with decadent black caviar, resulting in a savoury finishing.

LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF CRAB MEAT. THIS IS DA BOMB. Not just that, the quality of this is as much as the amount of crab meat too. It may look dry but it was only because the strands of noodles are soaked up with the flavorful sauce. Truly an angel of a dish, or you mean devil because I just can't get enough of this.

Served on waffles which are super crispy. Would have preferred it if it's a little less crispy but nonetheless still good. The portion was good too. Loved how the hollandaise sauce drenched the whole egg. I made a mess out of this. Not to forget, the parma ham. Every portion of this was generous and I'm missing this!!!

What is there not to love? The meat is tender enough and the vegetable beneath is bursting with the creamy flavor. Have a mouthful of this with the pork and SERIOUSLY, the combination is such bomb. Enough said.

Nice place - not too fancy or shabby - just right for informal get together. The steak is done just right and I chose the best stout I have ever tried - Konrad's, a Russian stout.

Steak was well seasoned and had a good sear. The medium rare came off well and was buttery to the cut. Good choice of "roots" to break up the monotony of the meat dish and just the right dash of red wine jus. For its price ($22 nett), it is easily THE winner in the cafe. #burpple #burpplesg #sgcafe #steak #flanksteak #littleindia

For a reasonable price ($15 nett), Root's presents a well baked Camembert with a good apple chutney to go. Just the right crust stiffness and just the right viscosity on the inside. #burpple #burpplesg #sgcafe #camembert #bakedcamembert #littleindia

Not bad value for $25. Again, no gst, no service. Served with sautéed cauliflower, Brussel sprouts & cranberries with pine nuts. Loved the charred taste from the vegetables and the textures from the nuts and dried cranberries. Found the duck a tad on the salty side though. But I'm not really a duck person. I was sold because it was the only dish that came with Brussel sprouts and that part of the dish certainly did not disappoint!
