Eat simi: Coffee Bun
Each how much: $2

Eat nice not: 2.8/5
☕️
Coffee buns never fail in their aromatic and slight crisp crust - hot or cold. It was also satisfyingly sweet with some savoury melted butter encased in the floofy, soft bread.
☕️
Coffee buns from roti mum used to be one of my favourite buns but this really pushed down my expections. ☹️ I recall my buns with more molten butter, and stronger tasting. TDLR: It lacked the critical elements of a coffee bun. There were other reviews speaking of it wasn’t quite up to standard too. 😩

Ya don't get the salted egg. Doesn't taste of anything at all

There's no point taking away. It's so different when you have it piping hot. Crunchy crumbly crust and fluffy bread with a butter filled centre. One of life's simple pleasures. Yes the coffee taste isn't v strong but come on who is having it for the coffee taste? It's an iconic product

Back in the year 2000, this was the IN thing, rotiboy, rotimum everywhere.

Used to eat this daily back then.

21 years later, I still enjoy this.

Eat it while it's hottttt

If you’re looking for a good tasting coffee bun, stay away from here.

Attracted by the aroma, we bought 6 buns at $10 (U.P. $2 each) - coffee, salted egg, chocolate.

Coffee bun was horrible. Very bland and dry, crust wasn’t crispy and was just thick and crumbly, butter was pathetically little. Worst part was the coffee tasted a little off. All of us who initially wanted to buy home a few more, all decided not to in the end. Chocolate bun had that unpleasant chocolately taste and again the crust was not crispy nor was the inside buttery. Best out of all was salted egg, which had a nice crispy crust and best overall taste compared to the rest although it kinda still lacked the salted egg taste.

One bun ($1.80)
Mixed 5+1 ($9)

The aroma of freshly baked buns never fail to attract me! Absolute favorite will be the coffee bun - crispy on the top and inside was so soft and fluffy.
They tasted best while it's hot!!!
