I felt the black sesame paste was waaay too sweet and lacked the natural, gritty texture of black sesame. I think you can definitely find better black sesame breads elsewhere.
I love the contrast between the soft, pillowy bread and the relatively thick slab of cream cheese and juicy raisins. It ranks up there with my favourite breads from Roti.
The generosity of Rotiโs fillings is definitely their strong point, with this ๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง ($๐) serving as the perfect testament for that.
Despite the monstrous amount of filling, the black sesame wasnโt too overpowering, BUT I would owe that to the fact that itโs not very flavourful to begin with โน๏ธ Tbh, the black sesame flavour just isnโt very rich, taking a backseat to the buttery taste of the bun. The texture was also a bit sandy, even though it was a paste.
With that said, I would still say that this is a decent bun! I really love black sesame and for $1, yea, Iโd get it again!

This ๐๐ซ๐ก ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง ($๐.๐๐) from Roti might be the best yam bun Iโve tried in SG, and a very decently priced one at that!
The quality of the yam paste is definitely its strong point, it tastes exactly like a good, pure orh nee packed into a soft and chewy bun. The filling isnโt the chunky type, but rather a completely smooth and creamy one, also not too sweet!

The pumpkin was fragrant and not overly sweet! Even my old folks liked it haha definitely recommend if you happen to be around the area, or like myself travelled down specifically from the east to west to get it ๐คญ
It was easy to locate, near clementi mall! There was a huge variety when I reach there around 10am in the morning that i couldn't decide which to go for!
In the end, I got the black sesame | pumpkin | yam | red bean which cost $1/piece and I must say the bun was so buttery and soft! Filling ratio to bread was amazing ๐ definitely recommended!
