Founded by the folks behind the popular @peopleandplacescafe, @routinebysoon is yet another new café that’s worth crossing the borders to JB. Tucked away in the recently opened @rnf_mall (about 10mins walk from @jbcitysquare), you can expect a menu that serves up wholesome fusion brunch such as the recommended ones we had.

👉Quesadilla Brekkie👈
Fluffy Tomyam scrambled eggs, chicken ham, sliced tomatoes, Sriracha aioli, coriander and cheddar cheese sandwiched between crispy tortilla sheets. Topped with grated parmesan, pomegranate and a drizzle of pesto oil.

👉Sous Vide Piri Piri Fried Chicken👈
Fried chicken breast with paprika honey glazed roasted corn cob, mild tomato salsa, sour cream, lettuce, pomegranate & lime on side.

I’d highly recommend their Quesadilla Brekie that left me craving for more. Simple but yet so hearty and delicious 😋. In my opinion, the sprinkling of pomegranate seeds was a pretty smart move to elevate the whole dish to another level. As for the fried chicken dish, I wished the meat was more succulent though. But aesthetics-wise, that huge corn cob 🌽 definitely surprised me 😂.

So glad that we’ve chanced upon this place while at R&F. So instead of looking at the Menu, staff engages the patrons by showing them food pictures. Obviously that works coz we decided to dine in with them. Food was delicious. Place was super instagrammable. Found out that they are the team behind People & Places, & recently they updated the menu at Routine with dishes at People & Places. Routine would be the obvious choice as it’s much nearer.
Overall, our dining experience’s great! Quality food & good service!
We will be back to try out the rest of the dishes in the menu... till then!

It has been 5 months since my last trip to JB. Decided to make this trip to visit two of the new malls here.

Probably you have see this place whenever you cross the causeway. R&F Mall located just beside the causeway and you can reach here via the link bridge from JB Sentral.

Even though only few shops has just opened here, but you could expect some good food over here like this one.

They have a very interesting interior design with lots of Instagrammable spots around the shop.

Their chicken burrito was generous in its portion with lots of chicken meats and even hash brown inside the wrap. RM15.90
