If you are a fan of @rubicon_steakhouse, you should definitely check out their lunch deals!

For $20, you can get their roast beef donburi or Hamburg steak bento. My advice: get the former!

New product, beef was fork tender and the gravy so rich and full of umami, would have gone well with rice

I actually dread writing about @rubicon_steakhouse for fear of the crowds that may emerge if people know how good and reasonably priced their Hokkaido steaks are.

It is not top grade A-5 beef with snow white marbling but I love the strong robust beefy melt-in-your-mouth flavours of their beef. Their tenderloin steaks are the most expensive in-house but make no mis-steak because they are the best. The steaks were perfectly cooked both times I was there. They may however consider being a little less heavy handed with the salt seasoning.

This is now my must-go steakhouse.

A group of us steak lovers went to check Rubicon out..

This place is opened by a Japanese Chef who gets his beef from Hokkaido. We ordered a 1KG sirloin / ribeye at $300. Sirloin was lovely.. crispy thin crust and juicy tender inside.. the ribeye on the other hand was alright. Felt the sides were too fatty (fattier than what we usually have for ribeyes) and some parts of the meat seemed old.

Having said that, we only have the highest standards for steak and I would still recommend this place to everyone. I will be back.

Juicy 100% Hokkaido Beef hamburg (100% handmade), sliced avocado, fresh green salad, fluffy rice, sunny side up & smooth steak sauce.

Didn’t enjoy this as much as we did the hamburg, only because it lacked the fattiness we’re used to in a good piece of steak. The beef itself has great flavour, although it could’ve done with better seasoning. Shame we couldn’t afford the Ribeye (prices begin at $58!).

Also comes with a sauce, which was stellar!
