We got these (among other things) to-go for a living room floor picnic and they did not disappoint. Even though they were a little cold by the time we got to eat them - the flavour still held up nicely and they still had crunch! Biting into it may be on the greasier side of fried chickens - but then, that's where the flavour is. The salted eggyness was just right and had us all licking our fingers after.

Shop Name: Sakon Thai
Location: 152 Serangoon North Avenue 1
Food Ordered: Salted egg fried rice, Mookata pork, Thai-style fried tofu, Red tom yum seafood soup, lime juice
Price: $33.60 total
Verdict: Fried rice- comes in big portion but taste average and a little too salty, cant really taste the salted egg too. Mookata pork- comes in big portion but it's relatively oily and dry. Tom yum soup - fresh prawns and fish slices, really spicy but I though it will be better with a little milk. Thai tofu- comes in big portion and taste authentic.
Return?: Gonna give it one more try for their fish dishes. (Seems like their key dish is fish but the tummy does not have enuff space for it to swim today)

$6.50 but super disappointing. Hate that frozen pork smell and the only thing is taste is spiciness..

Tom Sapp is the name of this soup. Similar taste as Tom Yum but spicier.

Thai Basil Minced Chicken. It doesn't taste spicy but it tasted sweet actually. Nice try !

I find it reasonably priced. It's worth the price too. 👍 #sakonthai #authenticthaicuisine #serangoonnorth #burpplesg #sgfoodiary #burpple #sgmakandiary #sgdinner #hungrygowhere #foodporn #foodie #sgig #sgfood
