We decided to try out a Thai fish dish and we ordered the deep-fried grouper, which was priced at $17++! When the dish was served, our first reaction was that we were unsure of the parts to eat as the fish was arranged pretty strangely. However, we realised that the fish was presented in this way to separate the bones from the meat! While the fish was fried to a golden crisp, there wasn't a lot of meat sadly and we are unsure whether we will get it again. However, the Thai chilli sauce was really nice as it was sweet and spicy, and it went really well with the fish!

The dish contains a pretty generous amount of minced chicken, mixed with cut red chillies and basil leaves. The dish was way more than enough to feed a family of 3, but you may wish to note that the dish is on the spicier side and if you are not good with spicy food, you may wish to ask the staff that the dish be made less spicy! The basil leaves were used very sparing and the fragrance of the basil leaves was nearly non-existent as well so it would be great if slightly more basil could be used in future!

Pretty standard dish that isn't any different from the kangkong that is served at a tze char stall, although the dish was slightly on the spicier side. πŸ˜… Serving was pretty decent for $6.50++, considering that we were dining at a restaurant.

Being our first time dining at Sakon Thai, we decided to get pretty standard Thai fare that couldn't really go wrong! Our staple for the meal was the pineapple fried rice, which was served hot and fragrant! You could smell a light sweetness in the rice when it was served, and the rice also embodied the sweetness from the pineapples as well. However, the ingredient in the rice was pretty limited and it contains two small prawns, pork floss and very few chunks of pineapples. For $8++, it would have been even better if the restaurant were more generous with the other ingredients, especially the pineapples!

Their prawn omelette was fluffy and they used mini prawns inside.

Green curry was thick, creamy and not very spicy. Pineapple rice was not bad.

Pricing here was quite reasonable, slightly pricier as compared to Nakhon kitchen.
