Love the ramen here it is thick and has a good 'al dente' consistency. Portion is big too. Soup was tasty without being overly salty. Recommended!

The dipping sauce was not quite enough for finishing the noodles. The shaw branch is a tad more stingy on the vol of sauce given as compared to the holland village one. The soup given on the side for mazesoba is also small in vol

Unlike the usual ramen, the noodles used here are much thicker. The texture is good but personally I prefer thin noodles πŸ₯’

Tried the Nikumori Spicy Rich Miso Ramen - a chicken soup stock mix with spicy miso. The flavour is not as strong as a pork soup stock, but still tasty & definitely spicy 🌢

Plus, chicken soup base for ramen is not very common in Singapore I think. So do give it a try. Non-spicy version is available πŸ”

@sanpoutei_ramen_singapore is famous for their concentrated simmered noodles

The beef beef (the dip) is very concentrated and towards the end, please do add some water so it doesn't taste way too salty. It has small bites of beef inside the dip!
The noodles are really chewy and the texture grab the dip so well!

This portion of noodles was their X1 portion and look at the mountain of noodles (slide left please)

The only thing is that eating this way too much of this will be sick, so highly recommended to order green tea to wash your palate

The clear sardine-based soup was packed with a complex umami yet light flavour, perfect with their homemade springy noodles and #meltinthemouth aburi chasu. Now I'm torn between this and their tsukemen. #happybelly #noramennolife #takemymoney #burpple (S$15++)

The ramen - cooked to al dente - is extremely silky and smooth. It was not soggy as the ramen is separated from the broth. The overall texture is very consistent and appealed much to our palate. Also, the portion of ramen is HUGE. Thankfully I did not upsize it πŸ˜‚ (which is free)! As the dipping broth is boiled from dried sardines and bonito with chunks of pork, I would expect it to be overwhelming. However, after dipping the noodles in and taking my first bite, I was extremely surprised by the lingering umami which made me crave for more! Rather than dipping into the broth for a few second, I would recommend letting the ramen sit in the broth for a while to absorb the full flavour of the broth! The only drawback is that they only offered the ramen and the dipping broth, with no meat at the side. As such, we had to order an additional portion of meat to make the meal more complete 😁

My friend got the tonkotsu ramen, and we both felt that the broth was overly thick and creamy. Could only stomach a few bites before we got sick of the taste πŸ˜‚ Perhaps they could offer customers a choice of the intensity of the flavour between light, regular and heavy - to better cater to customers with different taste profiles!

If you were to go to Sanpoutei, we strongly recommend ordering the Tsukemen which is not as intense as their regular soup ramen.
