This highly acclaimed 17-year-old Vietnamese establishment is an excellent choice for date nights – expect great food, generous portions and romantic music as you dine. Start with the crispy Deep Fried Spring Rolls (RM22) before moving onto the refreshing bowl of Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Noodle Salad (RM22). If you're longing for more, go for their French-influenced dishes like the Duck in Orange (RM38) or the flavourful Beef in Young Coconut (RM38) – they recommend having the latter with a bowl of fluffy white rice. Complete your meal with a glass from the extensive wine menu. Pro tip: Drop by between 12:30pm to 2:30pm from Tuesday to Friday for their value-for-money lunch sets!

Opted for a French-ish dish given the restaurant and went with this recommendation. Some pieces of the beef were slightly over-cooked but that’s okay once you’ve had a taste of the gravy – sweet yet still savoury and peppery. Dig in and find sweet coconut flesh to eat with the meat. Also good with a bowl of white rice.

Super extra spring rolls (think giant white plate served with too many fresh herbs) but you know what, it’s so damn good. Crispy skin liken to fu chuk loaded with minced chicken, carrots, yam and more. Good on its own, even better when dunked into the sweet chilli sauce. Ps. Nibble on the fresh herbs after a bite for more freshness and flavour!

Better late than never, I’m glad I discovered this cosy Viet house! Food here highlights local delicacies like pho while also serving French-inspired plates. This generous portion (it can feed two!) sees meehoon drizzled with a sweet, sour and spicy sauce topped with shredded veggies and chicken slices. Light, refreshing yet still packs a ton of flavour – my kind of dish.

Yes the dish came with slices of coconut flesh.
Even if you’re not in a mood for carbs, please order this with a bowl of rice! Drench the fluffy and fragrant rice with the stew and beef slices. Surprisingly not as rich as I would expect it to be, which is great because the beef flavour remains without it being overpowered by the coconut.
Superb meal!

I wish I can have this for lunch every single day. Beehoon tossed in sweet and sour sauce, filled with loads of veges, and chicken slices. Simple dish but oh so good, not to mention super refreshing and light!
