Typical of Sarnies’ brews, this was a very bold number with wonderful chocolate notes and roastiness evident from the get go. The nuttiness of the oat beautifully complements that and comes through prominently especially towards the end. There’s also that lovely, dairy sorta lingering sweetness and creaminess you’d expect of a white cold brew, but light on the palate. I’m a big fan of how the bitterness from the coffee lingers, which I understand might be a touch overpowering for some but I myself love — y’all know I like it really strong and black 😉

Sarnies is a v popular brunch and coffee spot since it’s conveniently located a stone throw away from telok ayer mrt.

Have tried their brunch menu a couple of times which was definitely filling and worth it. So opted to try the dinner menu this time!

Dinner menu was also pretty lean, featuring some pastas and proteins like chicken, beef and fish. Prices range fr $16-$23.

I love the creaminess of the carbonara but it’s gets slightly too overwhelming towards the end. advice maybe to cut down on the cream the next round ? Salmon came in small chunks which was good!!

Ribeye was served with this truffle sauce that helped enhance the meat. Quite decent given it’s price point!

For 1-1, it’s is very worth it.

Truffle mushroom risotto is a must-try, love the creamy risotto with strong truffle aroma. Grass-fed Ribeye was amazing especially with the sauce that accompanies it. We also had coconut water as well as the mixed berry smoothie for a hot day.

Visited Sarnies on a weekday for lunch! What’s on the table:

• Salmon Cauliflower
• Chicken Parmigiana
• Iced matcha latte
• Iced flat white

Total bill: $32.50

Have not tried hummus before, and wasn’t really a fan of the hummus. But the salmon steak was cooked perfectly! Meat is tender and the skin was nicely seasoned and crisp. As for the Chicken Parmigiana, the chicken was a little tough but for the price it’s very value-for-money considering the size of the chicken fillet served. Both the Matcha latte and the Flat white was very smooth and milky! Would definitely come back again if to try the weekend brunch items. One Burpple deal applies for the entire bill, it’s worth it!

Staff was very nice to offer menu recommendations and also provided us with indoor seating as requested once there were seats available :-)

Came back for the miso carbonara 10/10 really love it. Tho the miso taste isn’t really there but I love that it’s so creamy, filled with salmon and pasta cooked to perfection. Tho the steak was okay wouldn’t come back for it as there’re other things in the menu that are way nicer .

We decided to give Sarnies' Brekkie Burg a try, as it seemed like one of the most value-for-money items on the menu. For $19++, you get a burger with a really generous serving of scrambled eggs, and a pretty thick piece of beef patty. While the scrambled eggs were pretty soft and fluffy, we felt that the beef patty tasted slightly weird. Perhaps it was because Sarnies coated the patty with fermented garlic butter, which might sound interesting but it gave the patty a pretty raw taste. Certainly not something I am keen to get again!

Sarnies is pretty crowded in the morning so you may want to head down early if you are planning to dine in a big group. Do remember to use your Burpple vouchers to enjoy 50% off the mains, and using one voucher alone is sufficient for you to enjoy the discount for the mains ordered for your entire table!
