Sarnies (Telok Ayer)

Was looking for a Korean restaurant to eat with a friend but then we bumped into Sarnies and decided to just eat here instead since it’s been on our wishlist, there was a Beyond deal, and there wasn’t a lot of people at the time!

I got the steak and egg toast and it was pretty good! The bread was sour dough and the steak was pretty tender. It came with two poached eggs and on top was some bearnaise sauce. The steak itself didn’t have much flavor but the bread with the egg and sauce helped elevate it! I thought this was going to be a bit heavy to finish but I felt like it was just right the proportion. 👌✨

The steak and eggs looked better but of course more expensive. The steak wrap was nubbad too, but I’m not a big fan of tomatoes, but the taste of tomatoes was pretty strong. Personal preference!

Would have liked it slightly more toasted tho!

Enjoyed the Halloumi Salad with Falafel so much! Will definitely recommend this dish to those that love Halloumi as much as I do. Could have given slightly more Halloumi though but still loved it nonetheless 😍

The Seafood Paella was pretty much on the average side though & was pretty pricey as well. Expected more seafood to be in it. Definitely worth it with the 30% off the total bill. Do drop by during the happy hour if you wanna get pints/selected wines to go along with your meal!

Got the sourdough toast with herbed butter, grilled pork sausage, roasted mixed mushroom and a couple of poached eggs for the ultimate brunch out. And it’s to safe, I polished the plate clean.

Thin and crispy house bacon with bacon jam, accompanied by two fried eggs and tomato relish. Placing everything delicious about a breakfast in between two crunchy slices of toast. Bacon fans will rejoice!

We visited on a Saturday morning and it was crowded, filled with large groups of cyclists. Would recommend coming earlier to avoid queues and crowds!

Finally make my way to @sarnies.sg a casual Australian eatery in the heart of the CBD on Telok Ayer Street, after been hearing much great review about them on serving amazing food and brunch. Here they offers both indoor and outdoor dining, boosting a really relaxing atmosphere.

What I tried from their dinner menu,

Shoestring Fries & Aioli.
Potentially-addictive crisp indulgent Shoestring Fries that serves with a bowl of Aioli sauce. These shoestring fries are testament to how fries should be. A must-have.

Their food is definitely unique and the ambiance really great for after-work chill time and they also whips up a good range of cocktails, with spirits, beers, ciders and wines on their drinks list as well. I will be back to try their highly raved brunch menu.
