This dish boasts such high standards that when you encounter an average one, your mood spoils. Quite tragic the folks who popularised duck confit in Singapore are cooking an average duck confit.

They aren't known for portion so let's get that out of the way. The sauce and crabmeat were both fine but I got really puzzled why squid ink. Mind you, only the spaghetti is made of squid ink, there's no actual squid ink, so it's completely negligible.

Squid ink pasta topped with crab meat and onsen egg was mad delicious! It’s 1-1 on entertainer as well!

The dish that got them famous back in their hey day. But thankfully the duck still tasted as good as what I remembered - tender to the bone and with crispy skin. It's sitting on a bed of mashed potato and comes with sauteed mushrooms.

Haven’t had this in a while and, I still can’t quite get my taste buds accustomed to the taste of angel hair pasta.🤷🏼‍♀️

Saveur had changed up their menu the last time I’ve been here (which had been quite a while ago to be honest). A bigger menu now with more variety of pastas. We had the tiger prawn aglio olio, which was reminiscent of their famous original saveur pasta. But this is a levelled up version with prawns and onsen egg, and of course topped with fried ebi (or what I call hei-bi). The pan-seared barramundi never fails too; crispy-skinned and it’s meat still moist. Oh and thumbs up for the plating too. 👍🏻

Pork Belly, served on a bed of classic French lentil cassoulet (Stew lentil, bacon, mushroom, cabbage, poached egg)

Unfortunately, this wasn’t as satisfying as their signature duck confit (refer to the previous post). The thick yet tender slices of pork belly fell short of having a perfectly crispy skin. The bed of stew was kinda one-dimensional too, despite stewing different ingredients in it and topping off with a seemingly random sous-vide egg.

Mashed Potato, Sautéed Mushrooms, Orange Segment, Natural Jus.

Located in the heart of the city, @saveursg is probably one of the most value for money French casual restaurant, offering comfort French fare that leaves you wanting more.
Known for their duck confit, I must say it lives up to its name. If I had to find something to nitpick about, it would be that the sauce wasn’t enough for me 😂.

used to love their duck confit and angel hair pasta.. I’m still not a fan of duck... it has gamey taste and last night’s duck confit ($18.90++) was sure gamey and dry☹️ sauce were too little but they do provide more sauce when request. portion was generous and i love, love the mashed potato and sautéed mushrooms. Just the highlight of the course- the duck was pretty disappointing.. 🙁 Also ordered Onion rings ($5++), generous serving! and deliciously sweet and fresh😍

Coming back here after 5 years. Portion has improved by alot but i think they also increase the price (about$17++). Crispy duck skin and tender meat goes well with the mashed potatoes. I wish the duck has more flavour, but overall its not disappointing.

Well-executed French dishes at a fraction of the price of mid-range restaurants run by expats (we’re not talking about the top ones here!) Can be innovative and delicious as well, like with the chili crab squid ink pasta. Don’t know how they manage to keep prices so low, as rent is not cheap and they buy ingredients from expensive suppliers like Huber’s The Butchers. OK, ambience and service are not as sophisticated as Odette’s or Robuchon’s, but you come here for the food not to impress your first date lah!

Chilli Crab Squid Ink Pasta ($18.90) is probably for the adventurous foodies who can appreciate this fusion combination. The chilli crab sauce has a smooth subtle buttery taste from the flakey crab meat and the runny poached egg did its magic after mixing everything together. 😊

Both pastas came with a lovely Sous vide egg that added slight creamy texture. The 5 tiger prawns were very fresh and juicy. While the garlic in the aglio olio was yummy, there was a bit too much/ they were cut too big that made some bites a bit overpowering with garlic flavor. The unique #chillicrabsquidink pasta was delicious and all the components went well together

Had the signature pasta, it tastes more like a main for me rather a starter (and actually you can choose a ‘main’ size even it is grouped under the starter category and costs around $11). Had the duck confit (and seems everyone in the restaurant are either having this or the beef) which is not bad but not fascinating.

prawn pasta was flavourful and delicious except portion was very small since it is a starter! the chilli crab squid ink pasta was not bad as well but the squid ink was just infused within the pasta and not part of the sauce (could do with stronger garlic fragrance!) duck confit was good too as the meat was tender and pairs perfectly with the sauce which was slightly sweet with and a tinge of tanginess👌🏼egg confit(3rd pic) was GREAT😌 an innovative and unique dish with strong truffle flavour. also the crunch and nutty macadamia made the taste and texture and perfect combination💯 overall a great dining experience except portions were kinda small😅

Appetizer for the 3 course meal at $29.90

The salmon confit was similar to smoked salmon so if you were expecting cooked food, do not order this!

This simple dish never seem to fail me whenever I have my cravings. It is topped up with shrimp to give the pasta have slight crunchiness. I believe it is also one of the main dish that customer love to order. #eltonventure #sgfood #burpple

Personally I'm not a fan of Salted Caramel so naturally I preferred the pistachio Mousse!
