Eat dessert first!
These French desserts from @saveursg were simply luscious.
Pistachio Baileys Panna Cotta ($12)
So rich and creamy with caramelized pistachios embedded within, not overly sweet and a touch of Baileys flavour. This is a must try.
Valrhona Chocolate Fondant Cake ($14)
Perfectly baked, with the right balance of rich oozy chocolate lava and cake. Served warm with vanilla ice cream. This tasted too good to be true.
Creme Brulee ($10)
This is again another must eat dessert dish. Rich, creamy and perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. And do i have to tell you how good the caramelized top is?
Make sure you don't leave without trying their desserts when you visit @saveursg

Saveur Pasta - $9
The beautifully plated dish is made of capellini, topped with handful of sakura ebi, pork sauce, chive, shallot & flavoured with extra truffle oil. Flavourful and unique starter to kickstart the dinner. Beef En Cronte ($34) is a baked beef pastry with mushroom duxelle, foie gras & bordelaise sauce. A nice pick for a hearty meal. Pan-Seared Seabass ($24) is a healthy pick for those who love seafood. Remember to end off the meal with a dessert

Saveur is a restaurant that serves authentic and affordable French cuisine.

I remember trying their Signature Duck Confit and liking it back when they had an outlet at Far East Plaza. Having tried it again recently, the taste was still the same after all these years with the crispy skin and tender meat. Very consistent in terms of taste, the only difference was that the price has increased. 😂

Ordered Crab Tortellini $22, Beef En Croute $34, Foie Gras $14 and Salmon Confit $14. Loves the pasta for its complex creamy flavour. Lentil with foie gras combi was surprising good. Beef was too overcooked. Salmon Confit was good with the kombu sauce but the green apple slice wasn't a good match for me. Overall will be back for more.

But their Dark Chocolate Fondant ($12) is perfect too. The chocolate lava cake had a light airy texture which is perfect with the rich and warm chocolate lava. Its white counterpart, the cold vanilla ice-cream, is unadulterated goodness and I approve its quality. Can tell that real vanilla beans are used from the aplenty black specks. Not some artificial vanilla flavouring.
📍 Saveur (Purvis St), Singapore

One would associate Saveur with decent french food at cheap prices, after all they had origins in a coffeeshop. While its no longer cheap, their dishes have also gone more upmarket. Just look at this medium rare beef encased in a crispy puff pastry, something you'll expect to find at a proper french bistro.
