It would be futile to go to SBCD without getting their Soontofu stew. SBCD prides on making their tofu fresh daily, starting from the process of grinding the soy beans. As such, their silky tofu in the stew was served in generous amounts - that Iโ€™m not complaining. This stew was filled to the brim with ingredients - beef, clam, crab claws, shrimp, squid and egg. Bits of minced pork can also be found because of the pork based broth of the stew. This bowl thus encompassed many flavours, and as a whole, was a piping hot goodness of spicy and tasty. For $21.90 of this quality and quantity, I think itโ€™s pretty worth it! Especially when the Soontofu stew is served with a bowl of hotstone rice and the quintessential korean side dishes. You can also get a free cultured milk at the end๐Ÿ˜œ
P.S. if you are a lazy eater, donโ€™t opt for the seafood options because they come with shells! You might find it a hassle to peel them.

Their soondubu was legit man. Such delicate tofu that tasted freshly grind. The soup was so flavourful as well, with all the generously assorted ingredients: beef, crab, squid and prawn. Though the portion may seem small, but wow, it was extremely filling for 2 person. Also liked their variety of banchan: corvina, kimchi, cucumber, seaweed and pickled squid. However, the LA galbi was too chewy for my liking, as it was hard to peel it apart. It was also too sweet and oily.... Fried dumplings, filled with japchae and chives, tasted pretty average. Overall, would come back for their soondubu, but probably not the rest.

Or soontofu as they call it. Pillowy soft and silky handmade tofu embedded in a sea of gochu pepper soup (you can choose your spiciness level, and it is less spicy than it looks). I've gone with the comforting Mild spice, and seafood mix - that offers a heavenly combination of squid, clams and prawns! I do think the soup runs out fast especially with the abundance of ingredients.

It comes with banchan side dishes, a fried fish and traditional claypot rice too. Esp love the crispy rice. What a feast. (~$20). Ps. There's complimentary yakult too.

If you're here for the first time, checking out the combo may be worth it

Bibimbap was nice and ingredients were generous but did not stand out compared to the other dishes. Ordered it as a combo so there's no meat option.

Tangy and appetising fried chicken that reminds me of nicely fried gulouyok but more tender. Ordered this as a combo with the sundubu which was yummy as well. Highly recommend!
