Love their value-for-money combo meals which comprise a soontofu stew and main dish.

Ordered these combos:

1) Unagi combo
2) Bulgogi combo
3) Spicy bbq pork combo
4) Spicy bbq octopus combo

Selected these soontofu stews for the combos:

1) Original pork
2) Assorted
3) Seafood
4) Kimchi

Their JabChae was flavourful, albeit a little pricey for the portion.

my go to spot whenever i crave tofu stews.

there’s an assortment of tofu stews to choose from ranging from pork, beef, dumplings and assorted which includes seafood in it. you can choose your spicyness level as well.

love the silky smooth tofu! very hearty meal

I love Korean food, and have always cleaned the table when having them. However, for this experience, I am not able to do so.

I have tasted SBCD in Punggol before and loved it, which is why I didn’t mind trying this branch out. I ordered the Unagi set with beef sundubu along with a kimchi pancake. Unagi was good, kimchi pancake was pretty bland, couldn’t enjoy it without the soya sauce dip. The claypot rice came and it was too wet for my liking compared to the usual korean rice.

But I am absolutely disappointed with the beef sundubu. Soup didn’t taste as well as expected. The ingredients were too generous for a soup with a few beef slices and a LOT of ground beef. Ingredient ratio to soup was like 7-3. There was barely any soup. It was super tough to go through the whole dish and ultimately had to leave it at this state.

To be very honest I was expecting the restaurant branch to be a lot better than the pop up branch in a coffee shop. What a let down.

This comes with beef slices, minced beef, clams (~3-4), shrimp (2), squid, and crab. The tofu was q nice, on its own (without the soup) it’s rather bland which I like HAHA, and tasted fresh and soft. Soup was flavourful but didn’t particularly have a depth of flavour, could have a more 鲜ē”œ taste profile given the amount of seafood inside. I opted for mild so it wasn’t very spicy! Their soup base is made with pork & vegetables, so its not suitable for vegetarians šŸ˜› Appreciate that the shrimp is not the suspiciously bouncy frozen kinds, and wasn’t overcooked! Beef slices were reasonably tender. Not bad, but slightly pricey to be an everyday lunch kinda thing.

Rice came in a hot stone bowl, thought this was q special bc I thought it’ll be served in a normal metal bowl. Oh and the hot corn tea was v roasty, yum!

Overall I thought this was a nice lunch, I wouldn’t mind returning since I work nearby! And it was SUPER filling for me even tho 2 of us shared 1 rice so be careful not to over-order :)

Fish is deep fry to crisp outside; meat is fresh & soft to chew, no fishy stench; refillable side dishes; love the chewy squid kimchi with stronger flavor & more garlic taste..

Both soup taste similar; opted for spicy level, but not spicy enough for me; taste is rich & flavorful; with generous portion of soft tofu inside; oyster soup has 4 oyster, 2 mussels, 2 prawn & some pork; taste fresh with no fishy taste; pork soup has lots of tender chopped meat inside; comforting soup for cool weather..
