Sweater weather is ending, but here is a cozy Tofu Stew that warmed me up.

Each stew set comes with banchan (side dishes) and rice. The banchan I received includes deep fried yellow fish, fermented squid (which I absolutely love, swipe to see), kimchi & seaweed. Requested for extra fermented squid multiple times because I like it so much.

Can’t wait to be back!

$21.90++

I am now a soondubu convert after trying this place :-) The soondubu is handmade and silken and really quite wonderful! I got the ham & cheese rendition ($21.90), which is rather pricey especially for luncheon meat, but it was still worth paying for - and it tastes like army stew!

The sides are very generous as well and I must say this meal fills you up really quickly even though it doesn’t feel like a sizable portion. Definitely worth a visit!

Unagi on Hotplate was an unique pairing with the soontofu soup but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Decent quality Unagi! 👍🏻

Might have just found a personal favourite Soontofu soup in Singapore! 🌟 Soup is so rich and full of umami flavour! Homemade tofu is so soft and so shiok to slurp together with the spicy soup!

Assorted Soontofu soup - Beef, Clam, Crab, Shrimp, Squid

Expect to taste a rich seafood broth in the soup and there is none of that cheap tasting and bland chilli paste kind of broth.

You would definitely be paying for quality here as price is on the steeper side, but I think it’s quite worth it for the quality of food and amount of ingredients. It’s quite an all rounder meal - there’s options for vegetables, rice, soup, seafood, meats etc!

Big fan of the free flow banchan! I always ask for refills of the fermented squid, seaweed and kimchi! The fried fish (only limited to 1 serving) tastes really fresh and soft.

Could not stop eating the kimchi and the tea. Also served us with complimentary fish. Amazing service

Sesame Soontofu (non-spicy)($19.90)

consisted of hot stone rice and side dish. I felt that vegetables (broccoli and zucchini) covered up the taste of the Soontofu and a bit of sesame flavour aftertaste.
