Tried the Seabass Pasta, Chilli Crab Risotto, Lala, Calamari and the Prawn Dashi Aglio Alio. The risotto and Lala were my personal favourite, it was something interesting and unique, unlike other risottos that I’ve tried. Would definitely be back here again!

Dined at Scaled some time back and have not stopped raving about it since. The seabass pasta ($22) was my personal pick! It certainly was another dish with a daring combination of ingredients. The tagliatelle was smooth and had a good bite, evenly coated by nori cream sauce with a distinct flavour. The pickled radish was far from pungent and contributed a delightful acidity to the dish (I asked for more!), while the tobiko added dimension. Best of all was the seabass - panfried with a crispy skin, it remained unadulterated with its moist and sweet flesh. Really love the farm to table concept that SG is otherwise sorely lacking, and the restaurant truly brings it to life with their warm kampong hospitality.

Dined at Scaled some time back and have not stopped raving about it since. Canto grouper ($26) had an interesting traditional Chinese influence that really shone through. Paired with lala and sweet potato noodles, it is served in a broth that tastes exactly like the gravy of steamed fish: hints of ginger and garlic, faint chilli and a slight sweetness. The grouper was also perfectly steamed, falling apart easily.

Dined at Scaled some time back and have not stopped raving about it since. The pan seared seabass ($22) featured poached pear, pickled shimeji mushrooms and mussel vichyssoise. Perhaps the only dish that didn’t wow me, because I wasn’t a big fan of the complex flavour profile. My friends however, found the dish well executed! And the seabass itself was terrific.

Dined at Scaled some time back and have not stopped raving about it since. The curry mussels pasta ($18) is a bold dish that is best shared - the bowl is packed with with mussels and spaghetti, then filled to the brim with an asam curry sauce. The flavour was extremely strong, tangy with a lasting spicy kick! Definitely one of Scaled’s well known and best loved :-)

Dined at Scaled some time back and have not stopped raving about it since. Took a gamble with the XL clams ($14 for 4) - we were warned that diners either loved it or hated it, but it was popular enough that they would call ahead to reserve this. Coated with butterscotch and doused in miso, the combination is a unique burst of flavour. Surprisingly, the sweet and savoury tones complemented each other well! Really enjoyed the clams, which were perfectly juicy and not at all fishy. Was rather apprehensive about this appetiser, but am glad that we took our server’s recommendation!
