Curry Mantou I personally have been to scaled a few times and I am never disappointed so i am here to write my thoughts on each dish I had and where I felt it did well and where it was lacking. Personally I feel like this could be a signature by itself. The pairing of the deep fried mantou dipped into just one of the best curries I have had. There is only one word for it. That is SHIOK. 3 additional buns come for an additional 2 dollars which is simply affordable. The mussels were fresh and tasted absolutely delightful. 9.5/10 only because nobody鈥檚 perfect but this dish is pretty darn close.

Prawn Aglio Olio & Sea Bass Pasta Prawn Aglio Olio - Al dente pasta that soaked up the goodness of the prawn stock paired with seared prawns that came with a light charred. It can be a little gelat but It鈥檚 so yummy!! -$26 Sea Bass Pasta - Perfectly cooked seabass with a crispy skin and tender flesh. The pasta was tossed with Nori cream sauce and tobiko! Similar to the prawn aglio olio, it is very flavourful but can also get a little gelat towards the end! Love the thoughful touch of adding in a pickled radish. Maybe a dash of lemon juice/ vinegar can make the pasta more refreshing! 馃構 - $22 Can鈥檛 pick a fav cos I love them both! Will def be back to try out the other dishes in the new menu! 馃挴 I pastaway after having these.

[Invited Tasting] A beautiful mess but tasty nevertheless! 馃構馃崥 . That's how I'll describe the Smoked Salmon Bowl 馃悷馃崥 ($12) from Tie Fun Wan which is littered with vibrant orange hues 馃А from the smoked salmon & pops of ebiko alongside ingredients like daikon, bonito flakes and spring onions. Though the salmon is kinda obscured by the plump 63掳 egg in this picture, I can assure you that there is a generous portion of salmon hiding underneath all that clutter and there will be more than enough to satisfy your pescatorian cravings! Still not enough or feeling greedy for more of that mouthwateringly delicious smoked salmon? 馃槏 You can always order the Smoked Salmon as a side dish so you can enjoy more of the fish minus the rice at the same price! Woot woot! 馃檶 . As with all their bowls, you get to choose either Koshihikari premium rice 馃崥 or dry lamian 馃嵅 for your bowl and I'll highly recommend having this bowl with the Japanese pearl rice so you can fully savour the Jap influences in it 馃嚡馃嚨 . Tie Fun Wan provides healthy meal option with no oil and msg. They are a Wallet-friendly Homely restaurant that serves up rice bowls in these old school bowls which are sure to evoke nostalgia amongst customers. 鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅 Signature fun bowls: Smoked salmon ($12) Rice bowl with smoked salmon, radish, 63鈦 Egg, bonito flakes and rice makes for the perfect Japanese themed meal. Love how creamy this whole bowl is! (my fav) 72 hr slow cooked beef ($14) The beef is cooked for 72 hours to achieve the fork-tender texture and drenched with their house-made teriyaki plum sauce. Braised pork ($8) Tender braised meat with a flavourful sauce. This gravy is just so remarkably good with a warm bowl of koshihikari super premium rice. Mala pork collar ($10) The Mala here is equivalent to a xiao la. This was served with a bed of springy noodles which absorbed the Mala quite well. Each set comes with soup boiled in soybean and anchovies. Aside from these mains, they also have sides like Teriyaki Chicken cubes and Honey Chicken Wings. Kimchi Tofu + Salmon Even without 1-1 it鈥檚 so worth the price. The people serving are really friendly too. The portions are generous and fresh. Highly recommend to everyone!

Customizable Bibimbap Pints Loading well-executed proteins and colourful medley of vegetables into their signature "pints鈥, Dosirak is run by passionate individuals that work towards creating an inclusive menu which people of different dietary requirements聽can enjoy. Hence, now brighter and larger, the new store at 313 Somerset is set to bring customizable bibimbaps to the town-goers. Having tried some of the options available, the Soy Citrus Salmon would be my top pick, followed by Beef Bulgogi. Flaky and fresh tasting, the salmon was first cured for the extra depth and later torched for that melty soft texture.聽Seasoned with their house-made marinate, the chunks were pleasantly savoury though mild in citrus. The beef, on the other hand, packed more meaty 铿俛vour but also coupled harmoniously with the crunchy add-ons. As for the sauces, the Apple Cider Gochujang was a tangy play on the traditional聽chili paste and catering to those who can't handle spice, the Soy Garlic Jang was simply a crowd-pleaser. Then, complete your substantial bowls (can enjoy with Burpple Beyond 1-for-1) with their belly-warming soups such as their heavenly seaweed soup which was slurp-worthy and full of umami goodness. Dosirak鈥檚 (Korean for lunch box) new outlet at @313somerset places them in a very convenient location for you to get your Korean rice bowl fix. A mix of traditional flavors and modern cooking, the ingredients and sauces are prepared with much thought and effort for that perfect mouthful. Personally, I鈥檇 recommend the Soy Citrus Salmon with the Buckwheat noodles, with either the Apple Cider Gochujang or the Soy Garlic Jang. The Soy Citrus Salmon is cured to intensify its flavor, and torched (just before serving) for that smokey umami taste - the citrus is slightly lost and it could benefit from a spritz of citrus after the torching - however, this is still super delicious even without that. I found the buckwheat noodles to be quite unique in texture and that went very well with the mad addictive Soy Garlic Jang that I chose. Never have a rice bowl without a sous vide egg, so don鈥檛 forget to add that to your order on top of your free option of 5 sides. If you enjoy your gochujang and want something special, go for the Apple Cider Gochujang which is spicy and tangy at the same time (almost like a solid BBQ sauce but not). After adding your choice of sauce, put on the lid of the pretty Dosirak box and shake to combine the sauce with the rest of the ingredients and enjoy your delicious guilt free meal (all bibimbaps are under 500kcal if you are counting calories). Whoever said healthy food always tastes bland needs to eat their words. A suggestion for the team at Dosirak would be to have an option for an upsized box for the hungry boys in the office who need their carbs to function. (As requested by my colleagues who had them for lunch earlier this week thanks to Deliveroo). A few of their Haus pastas that offered fun and interesting not-so-Italian tastes but that definitely worked for us. The colourful Aglio Sichuan garlic oil was served with their curly pasta. A tasty hint of Mala spiciness without being overly numbing. Their vegetarian pasta was a big surprise to us. Never expected a vegetarian dish to be packed with so much flavours. Beside the meatball on their Smokey porky marinara pasta which was served with their long fettuccine, the star on the plate was the crispy pork lard (yes they added pork lard!). So evidently, the pastas at @pastasupremosg were not and never meant to be traditional. With an open mind, their flavours would be a fun treat with their tasty homemade pasta.

Prawn Olio Olio (Haus Pasta) & Free Flow Drink ($20) Used the Burpple Beyond deal for their Haus Pasta + free flow drinks, and we both chose the Prawn Olio Olio for our main dish each. The curly pasta is infused with butterfly pea which explains its colour; and tossed in sichuan garlic oil, garlic prawns, lap cheong crumble & topped off with tobiko. It was a lovely fusion of flavours and definitely one to order for spice lovers. The deal also comes with free flow soft drinks of your choice, so feel free to refill your drinks at the drink counter. Will be back to try the other pastas on their menu.
