Great Ice Cream Hidden In The Neighbourhood Had double scoop ice cream ($6.50 for non-premium 1 for 1 #burpplebeyond) and ordered the cookies and cream, vanilla, salted caramel and dark chocolate ice cream. Firstly I got to say the scoops were HUMONGOUS and would definitely require more than 2 to share. The cookies and cream and vanilla were decent, as its difficult to go wrong with it. The salted caramel was interesting and was a good blend with the other ice cream flavours as its saltiness can offset the sweetness from the other flavours. The dark chocolate ice cream on the other hand, was LEGENDARY. Its definitely a must get, as the amount of cocoa in it is amazing. Dab your spoon in the ice cream and you know how thick it is. With a strong cocoa flavour, and it's smooth melty texture, it's a real orgasmic moment in your mouth.

With some recent changes, Three’s put together the best of a waffle and a churro. The result was a waffle that was not only light and fluffy with a crispy crust, but also carried the tasty cinnamon fragrance of churros. To top it up, it was served with melted marshmallows in hot dark chocolate dip which complemented well between the dark chocolate and gooey sweet marshmallow. Paired with a dark chocolate gelato, the dessert brought smiles to our faces with textures and flavour we haven’t had elsewhere. However, we hope this wouldn’t be all that we’ll smile over at this cafe. Sampled a number of their other gelato flavours and many were a tad too sweet to our liking (which landed us with the dark chocolate that was perfect for the waffle). The paintings in the cafe embodied a dark and heavy mood, exhibited in their counter staff too. A rather unusual theme for a place for some sweets with happy thoughts. Nonetheless, the churro waffle we had was one memorable tasty treat to check out.

For Wagyu Bowls and Happy Hour Beers Kick back at this buzzy izakaya for after-work dinner and drinks. You can’t go wrong with 1-for-1 Aburi Wagyu Beef Bowl ($20), which sees beautifully charred beef slices and an onsen egg on rice. Aburi-den? I ordered the Aburi Wagyu Beef Don ($20++); tender and flavourful, thinly sliced strips of torched wagyu beef blanketed over rice which felt rather plain and could have done with some flavouring of its own or a sauce. Thankfully, the onsen egg was perfect and mixed well into the dish. I enjoyed this dish, although I have my doubts as to whether I'd get this again without any discounts (sorry I'm cheap 😥), but that is only because I love the options and variety of Japanese food available here. If you are looking for Japanese cuisine along Holland Village, and maybe some alcohol to go with your meal, this just might be a place worth checking out!

Hot Dogs! Tried the plain & standard one without any special/creative/fusion toppings, and chose the kurobuta pork sausage. The sausage was really well grilled and was a legit pork sausage. The accompanying mustard and tomato sauce paired well with the sausage (though I would personally replace the tomato sauce with chilli sauce the next time!) $8 might be a little pricey, but totally worth it if you have the entertainer 1-for-1 or Burpple beyond 1-for-1 deals to redeem! Rating: 4 / 5

Torched Cheese West Coast! New lunch place explored: hafudog! The smoked cheese kurobuta pork sausage is quite pleasing with its juicy mushroom and bed of cheese. While I wishcheese could be more pungent like the raclette kind, the entire bun was well executed in a simple way. Was v tempted to try the poutine here! ($10 for the torched cheese west coast) PS. Love the adventurous name

1-for-1 1-for-1 at @hafudog with #BurppleBeyond using @burpple app. These were quite filling. . Torched Cheese West-Coast (S$10) Triple cheese, Shitake mushroom, Soy glaze Interesting having juicy mushrooms inside hotdog. Kind of unusual. . Cool Chili Southern (S$10) Spiced Pork Chili, BBQ, Mustard, Cucumber Raita Not quite the chili which I was expecting. The cucumber raita kind of hinted of indian style cooking. .
