Skirt beef steak set Saw Biseryu on Burple and decided to try it! Food was tasty and the beef is very soft and tender! The Hokkaido Salmon soup was also a great complement to the rice dishes. Place is also very nice with soft music behind. Overall a very good deal with the burple 1 for 1 and we had an enjoyable dining experience.

First Time Trying Beef Katsu. 10/10 Would Try Again! Came into Biseryu to use the Burpple Beyond App. Saw their beef Katsu Don and decided to give it a try, as opposed to the usual pork Katsu. Was very pleasantly surprised as the Katsu was crispy, beef was not too tough nor too chewy and taste was great! Vegetables were also fresh and crunchy. Special mention goes out to the steak sauce that complimented the beef Katsu very well. Even had to ask for an extra portion of sauce! Friends who tried the wasabi sauce liked it as well. Would recommend Biseryu for the beef Katsu Don and will be back to try other things on the menu!

👉Iberian Aged Tenderloin Cutlet Set👈 Located in the heart of Orchard Road shopping belt at @fareastplazasg, @biseryu is a newly opened 2-month old restaurant with over 12 popular award-winning restaurants from different parts of Japan housed under one roof. 。 The pork cutlet balls were a tad too dry for my liking and slightly tough. Probably cause of the extra lean meat they use... 。 Recommended by the waitress, we also ordered their Norwegian Salmon with Hokkaido Milk Soup, which luckily didn’t disappoint. 。 P.S. Coffee And Ice Mocha We visited Starter lab which is super ulu at Havelock Road or 800m from Tiong Bahru mrt. The starting prices for their bread is from approx. $12 onwards which is very pricey. Not paying so much for bread. They only leave the bread uncovered, which is an issue for me because there's just too many people walking by it and looks susceptible to different viruses. Since we're seated, we got the coffee. Ice coffee cost $8 and it is no Arabica coffee. Overall, a disappointment.

For Excellent Sourdough and Toasts Chef Emerson Manibo's much anticipated bakery is finally open on Havelock Road. Buy loaves to-go (seven types available daily, from $12) or stay for their Honeyed Mascarpone Posh Toast ($14) which sees a slice of sourdough of your choice toasted and slathered in honey and luscious mascarpone, and topped with crushed walnuts, bee pollen and black sea salt. After 11am, try their sandwiches. Burppler Veronica Phua recommends the Salmon Smørrebrød ($16) with smoked salmon, house-pickled cucumber and radish, sumac and crème fraiche. Starter Lab 3 Cheese ($19) Sandwich starts after 11am so we managed to try the very decadent 3 Cheese ($19). Served on Rosemary loaf which I had previously picked for the Honey Mascarpone toast. Crisp crust, chewy slightly fluffy bread, mild tang and nothing to fault☺️ Using 3 types of cheese, stretchy and incredibly sinful, it was served with.. carrots which I didn’t touch but I appreciate the balanced diet😂/ potential crunchy sweetness that may help to cut through the richness?? Major cheese lover here so I easily finished it but some may find it too jelak I guess - so yep good for sharing (calories).

brulee french toast ($18) i really enjoyed this dish!!! upon slicing through the thick toast, its tender fluffiness delightfully surprised me. it was soooo soft! a layer of crisp caramelised sugar sat atop the toast along with various fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and prunes. the berries did not fail to pair well with the light, fluffy bread, especially when dipped into the whipped cream at the side - it further elevated the dish with a creamy, mousse-like textural dimension. there were even candied bacon shards hidden amongst the fruits that provided the toast with an additional salty umami-ness. decorated with pomegranate seeds and flowers, the dish was not only tasty but beautiful as well 🤩 rating: 4/5

beef cheek rendang ($22) so glad i tried their beef cheek rendang! the beef cheek impressed me so much; firstly the tenderness and succulence of the meat provided the perfect vehicle to soak up all the rendang goodness, while maintaining a gentle chew throughout. next, the rendang gravy was executed well - thick and hearty with a depth of flavour, though i’d say it could be spicier hehe. the fluffy butterfly pea rice gave a substantial mouthfeel with every bite, bursting with coconut fragrance. what’s more, it’s free flow!!!! happiness +1000 HAHA. the accompanying fried egg made everything come together perfectly as it provided a rich finishing to the dish. rating: 4.1/5

For Brunch in Serene Centre Find this nondescript cafe on the street level of Serene Centre (they take over Fat Belly's space in the day). Go for the Brulee French Toast ($18) for fresh fruits, candied bacon and chantilly cream on sweet, eggy brioche toast. For something savoury, try the tender Beef Cheek Rendang ($22) served wiith crispy keropok and bluepea rice. Pair your meal with the bittersweet Mocha ($5.50). Photo by Burppler Sean Chen

Awesome Burnt Cheesecake! Their burnt cheesecake is worth the trip! Haven't had such a nice cheesecake in awhile. Totally out of the world! Flatwhite was decent too. Comes in 3 different sizes. We opt for the 5oz and it was just nice.

the Kins’ Burnt Cheesecake ($9) 🍰 Great news for café hoppers in the West, there's a 3 months old café located conveniently right next to Pasir Panjang mrt @ Bijou Condominium! Especially to my friends at NUS, it's just 2 stops away if you want to escape from school food at this minimalistic café with indoor and outdoor seatings! 🤗 . . Finally tried their popular dessert, the Kins’ Burnt Cheesecake ($9) 🍰. The slightly bitter charred burnt crust was definitely the highlight, it balances the sweetness and saltiness from the gooey cheese perfectly. Served with a puddle of sweetened cream on the side, the cheesecake was delicate and surprisingly light although it was served in a soft cheesy layer in between. The cheese was rich and creamy in every bite 👍🏻💯. We savored the burnt cheesecake in no time and although it is not the cheapest, I might be back for more cheesecake!! 😋🙌🏻 We also had the Houjicha Latte ($6, +$1 for iced option), not the best out there but it was done right and satisfactory. Nonetheless, just so you know that The Kins’ Specialty Coffee also dish out mains from their kitchen 😊

White (5 oz) Everyone talks about the kins’ burnt cheesecake, but hardly anyone mentions how delicious their coffees are. Coffees were unpretentiously termed 3oz, 5oz, 7oz, according to how much milk was added to the cup. I enjoyed the 5oz ($5) - it’s one of my favourites . Somehow drinking coffee in a ceramic mug adds to the experience, I don’t know why 🤷🏻‍♀️☺️ loved the chill ambience and will be back to try more ☺️

Taiwanese Tze Char Ordered their lu rou, triple fried yam, Taiwanese sausage patty and braised cabbage. The lu rou had a nice tinge of dang gui flavor, good fat-to-meat ratio, and was braised to the tenderness I like. The Taiwanese sausage patty was nice though salty, which was expected. The braised cabbage was good too but I find the serving small for $10. The triple fried yam was average and uninspiring. This is their newly opened second outlet and it’s the first time I’m patronizing this restaurant. The cost of our meal - 4 dishes and 2 bowls of sweet potato porridge ($3 each) - came up to almost $50. They have a set for 2 at $50, which is a good deal but we didn’t order that cos it looks like way too much food for 2 persons. Not sure about the concept at their Circular Road outlet, but the Suntec one is self-service - not just collecting your food but returning your tray and utensils as well. While the food was tasty, we find the price point too high considering the self-service concept, ambience and portion size. Wouldn’t mind eating here again but it wouldn’t be a place I’ll frequent.

Burnt Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl Burnt Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl ($11.00+): They used short grained japanese rice. Onsen egg was runny. The burnt chilli chicken is not as flavorful as i would have like. However, their other rice bowls (lu rou fan, pork chop rice) are rather delicious
