For Hand-crafted Egglet Waffles and Ice Cream Sweet tooths, head on down to Bali Lane for a beautiful new Osakan import. Exclusive to Singapore are two yummy flavours that look great but even taste better. The fragrant Peranakan Road ($12.50) features coconut ice cream in a buttermilk bubble waffle slathered in kaya, then topped with sweet potato fresh cream, mango, dragonfruit and mint leaves. Alternatively, their Little SouQ ($13) sees Thai milk tea ice cream wrapped in a chocolate bubble waffle and topped with cream cheese, dried figs, coconut flakes, dates, pumpkin seeds and pretzel. Peranakan Road Coconut Ice-Cream, Original Waffle, Purple Sweet Potato Fresh Cream, Mango, Dragonfruit, Mint Leaves. From the new Asian Rad Afters by the Asian Rad Tea Company, a brand which hails from Osaka, Japan which had recently opened their first shop in Singapore, replacing now-defunct Goatee Bar along Bali Lane. An item that is exclusive to the outlet in Singapore, the Peranakan Road comes with a lot of local elements; the coconut ice-cream and kaya that is spread on the bubble waffle being light, sweet, and refreshing, while the purple sweet potato adds a light, earthy sweetness to the egg waffle with the fruity loops gives it a sweet crunch. The fruits help to add a refreshing, juicy bite to it, while the bubble waffle was pretty well-executed; aromatic with its buttermilk fragrance, whilst being light and cakey — very delicious. No doubt an item that may strike off as "just a pretty face" for the 'gram especially on first sight, but certainly proves itself to be a pretty quality and balanced dessert after all which we certainly do not mind having again!

Newly opened at bugis next to stateland cafe, @asianradafters.singapore , a tiffany blue-themed cafe hailing from Japan selling a variety of aesthetically pleasing egglets. Went for one of their Singapore Exclusives, the Little Souq ($13), consisting of thai milk tea ice cream, cheese cream and garnished with a variety of toppings such as dried figs, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds and pretzels . . . Wasn't impressed by the egglet..couldn't really taste the chocolate and they lacked the crisp exterior that i like, being rather soft and fluffy. Honestly, the egglets at Hong Kong Egglet at the nearby bugis junction sits better with me (and is cheaper too😅) . . . Overall, it was still an enjoyable (and instagrammable) dessert, with a nice sweet-savoury balance (i don't usually fancy cream cheese that much but it was awesome) but I'd probably not be returning anytime soon with the prices being so exorbitant 😅😶 . . . #burpple #burpplesg #asianradafters #egglets #puffle #icecream #thaimilktea #dessert #whati8todaysg #whati8today #sgeats #eatmoresg #instafood_sg #singaporefoodlisting #sgfoodblogger #sgfoodies #sgfood #sgfoodhunt #sgfoodhunter #sgfoodtrend #myfooddiary #sgfooddiary #sgcafe #sgcafefood #sgcafehopping #foodforfoodie #foodforfoodies #foodexplorer #singaporeeats #hungryalreadyeats

Chocolate Morello Not the most photogenic picture but it certainly features the most chocolatey ice cream I have ever had. It's none other than chocolate morello, which is simply valrhona chocolate and cherries that taste insanely good, rich and decadent together. This is one of the flavours invented to celebrate the upcoming International Chocolate Day on sunday. The other flavour will be the chocolate pudding which is made of the same gourmet chocolate, fruit cake, marshmellow and nuts. Personally I prefer chocolate morello because it's just that good. Beware though, that you wont be able to taste any other flavours sharing the cup.

Chicken In A Biskit With Choc Pu'er Chef Kronos has outdone himself yet again. The ingenious chicken in a biskit really tastes exactly like the snack itself. So so nostalgic and addictive. Loved how the biscuits remain intact and not soggy despite sitting in the ice cream for so long. The choc pu'er has a great balance of the richness of the dark choc and the aroma of the Chinese tea. It was a wise decision for these two in a cup as they complimented each other without having one overpowering the other, hence allowing the appreciation of two distinctly different flavours.

4oz Ice Cream It is so worth it to get 1-for-1 ice cream at this shop. Shared this deal with my friend and each of us only had to pay $2.50. Good deal! Even better when there are interesting ice cream flavours for you to choose from. The salted egg ice cream is always a must-try and must-order for me, but this time round i decided to try something different. Chanced upon new flavours and decided to try them - white chocolate nori and parmesan cheese. Glad to say I have found my 2nd favourite flavour (white chocolate nori) which was like seaweed ice cream with white chocolate bits. So so good!

A great way to start the day. Breakfast time @TheAffogatoLounge, where they serve a selection of paninis, bowls and baked quiches other than affogato. Head back there the second time and can’t resist getting the mouthwatering Blue Swimmer Crab Quiche ($13). However, for a belly-filling option, Spicy Italian Panini ($15), toasted ciabatta sandwiching salami, red peppers and fontina cheese, is an excellent choice. Grab a cup of Bittersweet Symphony or Dark Mocha to go along tooooooo. The Affogato Lounge Address: ‪55 Keong Saik Road‬, Unit 01-02, KēSa House, Singapore 089158 #affogatolounge #affogato

@TheAffogatoLounge serve classics affogato with the addition of alcohol affogato, interesting cocktails tea concoctions and savoury dishes. And yes this is by the same folks behind @TheAffogatoBar at Cluny Court. Kickstart your day with their speciality drink, Bittersweet Symphony ($6/hot), a combination of dark cocoa, vanilla chai and espresso or simply have the Dark Mocha ($5.50/hot) if you’re not a fan of Chai. The team import ethnically sourced coffee beans from Ozone Coffee Roaster, New Zealand. For those who wish to have a more filling meal other than affogato, they do have a selection of paninis, bowls and baked quiches. Recommended dishes include Italian Couscous Tuna Bowl ($15) and Blue Swimmer Crab Quiche ($13). The latter looks unassuming but taste delicious with generous crab meat filling. For Decadent Cocoa and Caffeine-spiked Desserts Opened by the same guys behind The Affogato Bar at Cluny Court, this new dessert and coffee bar its snazzy younger sibling. The rich and intense Trilogy ($16) sees 70% dark chocolate sorbet, caramel blanc and dark cocoa, served with a double shot of espresso— for cocoa fanatics only. For local flavours, go for the unique Coco Black ($17) that combines a shot of espresso with coconut ice cream, pulut hitam and fragrant kaya bread pudding. Pair your desserts with a cup of hot Dark Mocha ($5.50) that is smooth and deliciously bittersweet. Photo by Burppler Xing Wei Chua

Cookies & Cream Soft Serve $6.50 Nice combination of C&C dough with vanilla soft serve, without which will be a tad too sweet. Counter tucked in quiet retail mall, quite wasted because traffic is really low

Finally found an edible cookie dough place! A single scoop cookie dough with soft serve sets you back at ($6.50 1 For 1 with #burpplebeyond) and it seems small, but trust me it's enough. Cookies and cream and lemon tart are the best for me, as you can't get wrong with cookies and cream, and the lemon tart flavour has that citrus scent that copes with the sweetness of the cookie dough. For all the sweet tooths out there, rejoice!!

DOHKIE - The Edible Cookie Dough Shop 21/06/19 So I was in the neighbourhood and decided to drop by Dohkie as they were having a promotion, apparently there's something called Cookie Dough Day and apparently that day falls on the 21st of July... so... good for me I guess? Promotion: For 1 day only, any purchase of a scoop of cookie dough entitles you to 1 free vanilla soft serve on top of it (UP: $2.50).  Going there at about 1800H in the evening, I was surprised to see quite few people at the shop, perhaps they serve the working crowd in the area? Anyways, as I had not eaten much that day (Was working up an appetite for a buffet; More on that in a later post), my greed took over and I ordered a double scoop (Single: $4 Double: $7 Triple: $9). I absolutely love Speculoos (Caramelised biscuit) hence that would definitely take 1 scoop and decided to try their original flavour as well, the chocolate chip. Double Scoop, Speculoos + Original Chocolate Chip + Free vanilla soft serve ($7 + $2.50) - Each scoop is about the same size as a typical ice cream; Think they use the same scoop - Very chunky and hearty chunks of cookie dough - The vanilla soft serve was creamy and light, not too filling / 'jelat' - Without the vanilla soft serve, the cookie dough may have been far too filling and heaty to consume all at once by 1 person; It looked small when I first got it but seriously... looks can be deceiving. - Speculoos was just comforting and everything I expected it to be, like taking chunks of speculoos bread spread and gobbling it up but of course, it is a lot less thick than that - Felt that the original chocolate chip could have used higher quality chocolate chips darker chocolate; A typical chocolate chip flavour to satisfy one's guilty pleasures Overall, this is the kind of shop that I would go when the cookie cravings hit hard. Considering how the vanilla soft serve helped to balance the sweetness and intensity of the cookie dough, this is definitely not something you want to be eating everyday. Nevertheless, would recommend cookie lovers to try this at least once to change things up a bit.
