[White Rose Cafe] - Last day for Malaysia Street Food Fiesta at @yorkhotelsg . Nasi Kandar is a northern Malaysian staple originating from Penang, and my favourite element in this dish was the blend of fish and squid curry that was served over the perfectly steamed rice. From the look of it, I knew it would not be overly creamy, and I like how robust it was, with a gentle fieriness only kicking in at the end. . [White Rose Cafe] - Malaysia Street Food Fiesta promotion. Taking place from 21 June to 7 July 2019, the Fiesta will feature a range of Malaysian street food, all prepared a la minute by the hawkers from Malaysia. . Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun because I wanted to try it again after my visit to Ipoh. You could have it 2 ways - either with minced meat mushroom sauce or curry sauce. But I feel the best way to appreciate the lovely steamed rice noodle rolls is to have it with just the fried shallots and sesame. . [Clifford Pier] - Throw back to the Peranakan dinner. . Satay Babi Goreng ($39) veers towards the rich side, hence the bowl of rice is there for you to enjoy the gravy. The pork belly was even more tender than expected, but a handful less salt would have made the flavours of the dish more balanced. . Ikan Chuan Chuan ($52) allows you to enjoy the beautiful meat of the fresh whole snapper without the fuss of deboning the fish. Cubed and deep-fried, each fish nugget is very lightly battered, with the meat staying firm and moist. The tangy-sweet dressing has a very good consistency that simply glazed the surface of the battered fish cubes, flavouring them without weighing them down.

We had a satisfying meal at The Clifford Pier recently where we checked out the special Peranakan menu put together by Chef Philip Chia! Some of the Peranakan signatures we tried include the likes of Pong Tahu Goreng, Kurobuta Pork and Crabmeat Nonya Ngoh Hiang, Ayam Buah Keluak and Udang Masak Pedas Nanas. These special dishes are available at The Clifford Pier, The Fullerton Bay Hotel from 13 to 28 June 2019. Now, we are off to an exciting event this evening, stay tune!

New post on The Clifford Pier @fullertonbayhotel up on the blog. Check out this silky soft Satay Babi Goreng by guest Chef Philip Chia which I found to be irresistible! On my first bite, I thought it was fish instead of pork belly (yes the meat is that tender). Really enjoyed the traditional Peranakan dishes available. Read more on www.ms-skinnyfat.com link in bio.

Lei cha ( 擂茶) also known as 'Thunder tea". The custom of Lei cha actually began in the Three Kingdoms period or even Han Dynasty. Amazing. Didn't know it had such a long history. It is very popular among Hakka people. . Hakka Lei Cha is a low fat, low cholesterol diet ideal for body detoxification and weight management. The highlight is the green soup with flavours of basil and mint that is served on the side. The rice was topped with peanuts and a variety of vegetables like cabbage, green beans and choy sim. . Featuring the Lei Cha from Thunder Tea Rice. Enjoyed the fresh crunchy vegetables with crispy nuts. I usually will pour the soup into the rice and enjoy it together. ============================== Thunder Tea Rice 📍Toa Payoh HDB Hub 📍BLK 480 Toa Payoh Lorong 6 📍HDB Hub 📍Singapore 310480 📍Gourmet Paradise Stall 4 📞63972880 🕛Daily 9am to 10pm ============================ Blog: http://www.eatdreamlove.com ============================ Eatdreamlove made an anonymous visit and paid for the food reviewed ============================ #singapore #burpple

@ Thunder Tea Rice First time trying thunder tea rice and I am pleased!! Why isn’t there more thunder tea rice stalls in sg😱 All the ingredients combined made the entire dish crunchy and yummy, you’d probably wouldn’t even realise it was vegetarian?? Hehe actually got this because I was too lazy to queue for the 老火汤. Not that this stall didn’t have a queue but the queue was fast!! Y’all should try thunder tea rice tooooo hehe. There are many other versions but I got the basic one😬 Plus this food court has other famous stalls like the rojak and muachee 🤗 - 🍽 FUD FOR THE TUMMY • Thunder Tea Rice ($4.70)
