3 Course Burrple Set Having this set meal for 2 for $60 is such a steal. Had the octopus and sashimi for appetiser, pork shoulder (amazing) and rib eye for mains, apple tarte and tiramisu for dessert. Every item was so delicious and well worth their original price. With the burrple 1 for 1, it makes it a must go. Going to come back to redeem all the vouchers for sure :P

Beautiful Dessert And Delectable Italian Food Returning to this place for the 1000th times, that is how good their food are. Recently, they have announced their closing down, and I decided to bring my family to once again try their wide array of dishes (we nearly ordered their whole menu 😂) So what stood out particularly are as follows: 1) Appetizers i) Baked eggplants—Nothing particularly stood out but it was a homely sort of comfort food ii) Baccala cake with sea urchin (Must-try)— Just loved how the cakes go so well when dipped in the thick, flavorful sea urchin paste 2) Mains i) Duck Confit—A little too dry for my taste...but still worth a shot ii) Sea urchin carbonara—-There’s something so alluring about their sea urchin sauce iii) Kale Ravioli— Ravioli not too chewy, has the right consistency. Bursting with umami. iv) Wagyu beef cheeks (Must-try)— Wagyu just melts in your mouth. Paired with mash potato, the flavor is elevated. But on its on, Wagyu is good enough! 3) Desserts i) Molten Lava cake paired with vanilla Gelato — The lusciousness of the molten chocolate cake paired with a refreshing gelato elevated this dessert so much! Chocolate cake’s outer layer has just the right tinge of crispness too! ii) Mango cheesecake— Love how the different layers of the cheesecake come together, very harmonious flavor profile iii) Tiramisu—something a cut above the rest of the tiramisu, accentuates a very homely feel

Delish pre-dessert Choc (part of $175++ menu) Dining at Les Amis is always a pleasure. The cooking and service do improve with time. But it certainly is not 3-star, not when compared to its colleagues in France. Even relative to the other 3-star in Singapore, Odette, the whole experience is less memorable - less innovative and fewer wow dishes. Amazing wine list. The cheese board pales next to the 3-level cheese trolley at Le Grand Véfour in Paris.) The mille feuilles dessert collapsed after 5 minutes. However, let’s not nitpick and be grateful whenever we have the opportunity to come here.

[Bedrock Bar & Grill] - The Pork Belly with Scallops ($68++) was an absolute enjoyment, with the pork belly chunk falling apart easily and has a soft, in-the-mouth texture. Served with braised cabbage and corn puree to add a subtle sweetness to the dish. . Find out more at https://www.sgfoodonfoot.com/2019/11/bedrock-bar-grill-pan-pacific-serviced.html . A Sandwich Featuring “The Epitome Of Japanese Pork” ($48++) H O S T E D Being a sucker for pork, I was immensely curious about the taste of Budou-buta, the “Grape Pork” from Japan that Bedrock has brought in for this festive season. So I said yes at once when I received the dinner invitation. Of the three dishes featuring the premium pork created by Executive Isaac Tan and his team, the Pulled Pork and Shrimp Sandwich ($48++) was the one that swept both my dining partner and I off our feet. It’s an extraordinarily tasty combination of the very tender Japanese pork with just the right amount of truffle mayo between slices of brioche. Now, the brioche itself deserves special mention because it‘s crazy buttery in fragrance and possessed an otherworldly airy-lightness. Honestly, I found the sandwich impressive enough to warrant a return visit but its accompaniments sealed the deal. The in-house pickled cucumber and chillies provided the perfect counterpoint to the rich sandwich while the highly-addictive crispy-fried potato straws contributed extra texture to the overall. I am glad @momofuku doesn’t do potatoes because it meant I could inhale the entire heap freely. It may not be obvious in my video but the portion is huge. If you have a smallish appetite, sharing might be a good idea. But make sure you don’t miss out on trying other items when you’re at Bedrock, like the deliciously complex Smoked Tomato Soup, the ever-popular and decadent signature Mac ‘n’ Cheese or the well-seasoned Roasted Bone Marrow.

Restaurant Week Lunch Buffet [$40++] Probably the only buffet known of their wide array of cheeses 🧀 - blu di langa, pecorino Nero do pienza, taleggio DOP, ubriaco alla birra, pecorino stagionato nel fieno, puzzone di moena, piave mezzano with tons of condiments and none other than the magnificent grana padano! Wanted to skip crappy carbs to make space for the pizzas and pastas but the bread was irresistible, especially the angelo’s squid ink bread and the mushroom & truffle bread. (Both available for sale at dolcetto at $10 & $11 respectively per loaf) Glad I had the space to try the pastas. They have the following - taglioloni with seabass ragout, penne in tomato & pesto, Wagyu beef lagsane & conchiglioni with pork ragout. Specially enjoyed the taglioloni with seabass ragout and the penne! Very comforting, hearty and flavorful. They also had carving stations serving roasted turkey, lamb as well as chicken. For the roast meats, I really enjoyed the uncommon mustards like the chili mustard as well as the herb mustard. Moving on to the deserts, ice cream selection was pretty decent - nougat, chocolate, berries sorbet, green apple sorbet, peach sorbet and good old vanilla (with vanilla pods, damn legit!). The usual suspects were also spotted- tiramisu, panna cotta, bread & butter pudding, apple crumble. Some items I particularly enjoyed were the pecan tart, pistachio choux, lemon & raspberry cake. Overall, good value and selection for a buffet. Especially even more so if you love cheese! 😊

Weekday Lunch Buffet I also really enjoyed this burnt caramel hazelnut mousse cake. Surprisingly, it’s not too sweet and there’s a surprise crunchy cookie layer in between that tastes exactly like a ferrero rocher. So tasty and there’s also hazelnuts on top! Their desserts are quite big slices though, so take them to share if you wanna try more so that you can minimise food wastage!

Weekday Lunch Buffet Haven’t had Basilico’s buffets in a while, and decided to go because they have a weekday lunch buffet for $50 instead of $64 by booking on Chope or through their hotel’s website. It was overall pretty disappointing though, I felt like the food quality had gone down since the last time I went. Notwithstanding, their desserts were still pretty good. Their apricot frangipane sage tart with Chantilly cream on top looks normal, but the sage really added a punch of flavour and made this stand out. Also liked that they used fresh apricots!
