Milo Dinosaur 6.9nett No idea why this one is butt naked. For a moment I tot it was upside down haha. Completely unlike the tiramisu, this was a proper cheesecake with hints of Milo. Still very enjoyable if you didn't expect a strong Milo taste. Thoughts: Overall I'm sure I made it abundantly clear that I'm a fan of them. I really appreciate the different crusts too, which pair well with each cheesecake flavour. Their crust is generally crumbly and rather cake like, which works well with the mousse texture of the cake. And burpple beyond really makes it very worth it, 3 for 3 is a massive difference from their usual 1 for 4 promo. The price really stacks up, considering the rather small size of their cheesecakes(which is perfect for those who don't want something too heavy like most health-conscious people nowadays I guess). It's definitely my go-to for well executed, reasonably priced cheesecake and personally I feel it's very underrated, mainly because of their trite aggressive advertisement campaign. Now I'm a fan and I hope more people give them a try, the quality is really there. My top picks are: 1. Triple fromage 2. Yuzu lemon 3: Tiramisu (personal reasons, I don't take alcohol so a good tiramisu slice is hard to come by) I'm not recommending the Basque burnt cheesecake cos I saw the standard isn't consistent, though the one I had was pretty good, and Basque cheesecakes usually come at literally twice the price lol(albeit slightly bigger slice). So if you're a lucky person, you can consider getting a slice when the top looks good, since it's rare to find a good one at this price point.

Sicilian Wild Cats: Tiramisu 6.9nett(Used BB) Seriously what's with the names lol it's really as necessary as can be This was the least cheesecake-esque out of all the cheesecakes. It's just a tiramisu cake. Nonetheless, it's very good with a strong coffee punch and great soaked layer that is controlled perfectly so that it doesn't become soggy. Mascarpone layer was super light too. Get this if u want an awesome tiramisu slice(halal, so no alcohol which is perfect for me), not if you're looking for a tiramisu-flavoured cheesecake

The Russian Whiskers: Mango 6.9nett(Used BB) The other components were quite good, but I don't really understand the need for the dry cake/bread infesting the rest of the mousse. It really affects the texture, so cost issue? Their mango mousse is good so I assume the good mangoes needed are expensive?

Soul Food, Soul Good Japanese curry rice is one soul food that I like but do not have it regularly. Located within King Albert Park Mall Residences, it was decorated minimally with some Japanese decor. The pork katsu was well-fried, light and not greasy, and the meat is from Hokkaido snow pork. You can definitely taste the marbling of the meat and it’s so tender! The curry was a mix between two types of Japanese curry — the sweet apple style, and the slightly spicier style. Butter is also added to increase the smoothness of the curry and it goes down easily without feeling surfeit. A very nice and comforting meal. Price: $15 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

[Gaijin] - Shio Tonkotsu Ramen ($12) did well with the addition of its homemade Special “Kara” chilli paste ($1). Despite the layer of homemade black garlic oil and pork fat oil floating on top of the broth, this salt-seasoned tonkotsu broth felt light on the palate after I mixed everything in, including the homemade shrimp-based chilli paste. The chilli paste provides more than just heat to the dish. A dollop of it adds depths of flavours into the broth. You will have the options from level one “mild spiciness” to level three “hot”. I reckon you can just go for level three ''hot''. . Find out more at https://www.sgfoodonfoot.com/2019/06/gaijin-kap-residences-mall-fuss-free.html . “Toucan”/ Pineapple Passionfruit Yoghurt Tangy pineapple and yoghurt curd, crunchy passionfruit seed glaze and home-made muesli morsels Well! I think the guys have to rethink about consistency in menu and marketing. On Facebook, it’s “toucan” but only their website, it’s “pineapple passionfruit yoghurt”. At the shop, the staff introduced it as toucan but spelt it as tocan (?) when she labelled the boxes of pies 🤦🏻‍♀️ What I like: very tangy and sourish! But it might be overly sour for some people. Love the strong hints of passionfruit from the layer of glaze on top. What I didn’t like: supermarket-like filo pastry as they crust base (I think a buttery crust is what makes a cut for a good pie!). It was too thin to balance out the strong tanginess of the fillings. Idk what’re the white cubes - the taste of these cubes weren’t distinct. If they’d been, then clearly they’ve been masked out by the tanginess of the filling ...

Bananaholic’s kinda pie Fluffy Banana Mousse with crunchy Almond Brittle, topped with rich Cognac whipped cream. WELL....I’m split about this. What I like: Rich cognac whipped cream, fluffy airy mousse What I didn’t like: Slightly bitter almond brittle (perhaps kinda burnt), it’s also sticky and sticks to the teeth! I’d expected the pie crust to be buttery but it’s actually filo pastry ): kinda feels like those you could easily get from any random supermarket(?) I think the pie crust is really important and this rendition didn’t do justice to the otherwise tasty mousse and cognac
