Mentaiko Salmon Don $23.90 | Back for their Aburi Mentaiko Salmon Don! Love that they are very generous with the portion of salmon cubes (very thick!) and mentaiko sauce. Although price might be considered slightly expensive, but it’s very worth it if you have Burpple Beyond or Entertainer App! Will definitely be back for more.

Value For Money Rakki Bowl is a popular place for those in the Duxton area to get their Japanese rice bowl fix. Located in the same space as Candour Coffee, the space is small so I bet it gets crowded during rush hour... Even on an off-peak timing (was there on a weekday night close to 9PM), it was still considerably filled up - testament to its popularity! All the rice bowls here come in 2 sizes - I ordered the smaller Truffle Wagyu Don ($13.90+) as my appetite surprisingly wasn't large. It came with a good amount of meat, good proportion of rice, & a perfect wobbly egg in the middle. The sauce is on the sweet side, so I wouldn't say this Don is very balanced on the palate. However, it wasn't too much to bear, & I liked how the meat was done, which is the most important thing in my book. The rice itself was okay, & didn't get too soggy with the sauce, even upon mixing the egg in. Being at such a good price point, & made even sweeter (pun not intended) by the fact that I could redeem a Burpple Beyond deal here to half my cost... This was a steal, & I will return! 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats only 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner 📶 Free WiFi available 💦 Water is not chargeable 🙋🏻‍♀️ Service charge applicable 🚫 No GST

Waa Cow!, Marina One. Located at 5 straits view, unit 01-09 Marina One, The Heart West Tower, Singapore 018935. . Burpple Dinner Menu, 2 pax for $59 (you can have the option to top up/upgrade to other signature Wagyu beef bowls). Prior to the reservation, they informed us there’s no oysters so you can choose either Salmon Sashimi or Truffle Fries (recommenced). . . Each of us have a portion of: - Salmon Sashimi/Truffle Fries - Torched Hokkaido Scallops - Wagyu Sukiyaki Gyudon - House Beer/House Pour Wines . . Sashimi were fresh, scallop were fresh and so good when topped with Mentaiko! We didn’t change our Don so we had the default Wagyu Sukiyaki Gyudon, that’s comes with an onsen egg, 😍 we loved it! It’s flavorful, and generous with its serving. We find it a lil fatty and chewy for our liking. . . But overall we still enjoyed it and it’s an amazing deal with #BurppleBeyond 1-for-1, as you can enjoy 2 sets for only $59! @burpplebeyondfans . . . @waacowsg #hungryunicornsg #waacowsg #waacow

I have an INKling that you would love these Japanese food here! 😍 . Besides freshly grilled skewers that stole my heart, the extensive menu here at @yakibabar (& of equally high standards & quality) really impressed me! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 . If you’re a seafood lover, you’re bound to fall in love with their Grilled Japanese Squid ($11.80)! 🦑 Perfectly soft & chewy, these rings that carry a tinge of alluring smokiness from the grill pair well with the side of sweet mayo or savoury soy sauce with ginger gratings. ✔ . Unagi fans will be pleased with the Unagi Egg Crepe Roll ($8.80) or Unagi Rice Burger ($13.80) 💕, with the latter featuring crispy rice patties encasing a plump slice of eel in a luscious coat of sweet-savoury unagi sauce, wrapped in a pretty nori sheet. 😋😋😋 Beats any fast food burger joints hands down! . Comfort food for a rainy day? Onigiri Bukkake 🍙 topped with Salmon Floss ($8.80) is certainly a top choice! 👍🏻 Alternatively, go for a bowl of comforting Oden where you get to choose your preferred ingredients including Japanese Konnyaku, hard-boiled egg, deep fried tofu, radish, fish cake & meatball, all at $0.90 each. 🥰 . Like some appetisers while waiting for your mains? Try their homemade Chicken Liver Pate with Toast ($5.80) which is absolutely creamy, void of any gamey taste & leans on the sweet side. 👌🏻 For a refreshing start, try their Tomato Oihidashi ($2.80) 🍅 which will whet your appetite with its tangy note. Fried food fans will be pleased with the classic Tori Karaage (Fried Chicken, $6.80). 🐓 . As for mains, you can give their Mentaiko Pasta ($13.80 for lunch set) or Cold Angel Hair Pasta with Sakura Ebi ($14.80, $16.80 for lunch set) a try! 😉 The umami of the fish roe will leave you with smiles & a satisfied tummy. 😋😋😋 Many more to explore - looks like I need to be back another day! . Thank you @yakibabar for the awesome food & hosting, & @esth3r_esth3r for the invite! ❤

Freshly grilled upon order, you are guaranteed to enjoy some piping hot skewers with full-blown flavours! 🤤🤤🤤 Their yakitori sauce is homemade with no MSG so dont worry while you savour that luscious coat of sauce on your skewers! 💕 . For the meats, you just can’t go wrong with classics like Chicken Thigh ($2.80) & Tsukune with Egg Yolk ($3.80). 🐓🐷 A veggie lover or not, please do yourself a favour & try their Nagaimo (long yam, $3.80) - lightly-salted with crisp potato-like texture - so yammy! Cherry Tomato 🍅 with Cheese 🧀 ($2.20) was a refreshing one with its sweet tangy tones. As for seafood, their plump & springy Scallop Butter Yaki ($8.80) was a crowd-pleaser, while the soft Salmon with Ikura 🐟 ($3.80) was bursting with umami. . Let’s talk about favourites! My vote goes to the extremely succulent Australian Wagyu Beef skewer 🐄 while the melt-in-your-mouth Foie Gras ($6.80) was popular on the table too. 👍🏻 . Yakibabar offers lunch sets which comes with appetizer, salad & chawanmushi - I highly recommend their Yakitori Set of 5 ($13.80, featuring thigh, wing, tsukune, mushroom & cherry tomato). 👌🏻 Pairing these aromatic grills with their wide selection of Japanese sake is simply refreshing. 🤤 . 📢PROMO📢 Father’s Day promo - enjoy a free flask of sake with min $88 spend for the mth of June! 🍶 . [Invited Tasting] A beautiful mess but tasty nevertheless! 😋🍚 . That's how I'll describe the Smoked Salmon Bowl 🐟🍚 ($12) from Tie Fun Wan which is littered with vibrant orange hues 🧡 from the smoked salmon & pops of ebiko alongside ingredients like daikon, bonito flakes and spring onions. Though the salmon is kinda obscured by the plump 63° egg in this picture, I can assure you that there is a generous portion of salmon hiding underneath all that clutter and there will be more than enough to satisfy your pescatorian cravings! Still not enough or feeling greedy for more of that mouthwateringly delicious smoked salmon? 😍 You can always order the Smoked Salmon as a side dish so you can enjoy more of the fish minus the rice at the same price! Woot woot! 🙌 . As with all their bowls, you get to choose either Koshihikari premium rice 🍚 or dry lamian 🍲 for your bowl and I'll highly recommend having this bowl with the Japanese pearl rice so you can fully savour the Jap influences in it 🇯🇵 . Swipe left ⬅️ to see how we made this Smoked Salmon Bowl even messier and tastier by breaking that soft gooey yolk into it! 🤤 . Thanks Xinying @tiefunwan for the kind invite & warm hospitality and thanks Chef Ken for serving up a variety of these sumptuous bowls for us ❤

Tie Fun Wan provides healthy meal option with no oil and msg. They are a Wallet-friendly Homely restaurant that serves up rice bowls in these old school bowls which are sure to evoke nostalgia amongst customers. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Signature fun bowls: Smoked salmon ($12) Rice bowl with smoked salmon, radish, 63⁰ Egg, bonito flakes and rice makes for the perfect Japanese themed meal. Love how creamy this whole bowl is! (my fav) 72 hr slow cooked beef ($14) The beef is cooked for 72 hours to achieve the fork-tender texture and drenched with their house-made teriyaki plum sauce. Braised pork ($8) Tender braised meat with a flavourful sauce. This gravy is just so remarkably good with a warm bowl of koshihikari super premium rice. Mala pork collar ($10) The Mala here is equivalent to a xiao la. This was served with a bed of springy noodles which absorbed the Mala quite well. Each set comes with soup boiled in soybean and anchovies. Aside from these mains, they also have sides like Teriyaki Chicken cubes and Honey Chicken Wings. Thanks to @ariane.le for extending the invite and @tiefunwan for hosting us. 😍
