Maine And Mentaiko Seafood Rolls Personally preferred the Maine option compared to mentaiko. Prices are rather steep, would recommend to visit with burpple beyond (unless you’ve got lotsa cash to spare). Worth a try (with burpple beyond) but probably not enough to fill your stomach if you’re a big eater! Quite a generous portion of the lobster filling though.

Crab Rolls With Thaimilktea Icecream Ordered 1 for 1 burpple crab rolls with mentaiko and chilli crab sauce. You get to choose 2 sauces for each rolls. The rolls were served hot with butter spreaded on the sides of the bread. The sauces really enhance the flavour of the meat and my mouth was bursting with flavours. We saw how they meticulously made these rolls from scratch although we waited for 20mins. The portion would be for those who wants a quick bite but not for a proper meal. Icecream on the other hand was average. We topped up half a buck for thai milktea flavour. It is the typical softserve that you could get in macdonalds. I would go there again for the rolls with the 1 for 1.

Seafood Roll - Half Crab, Half Lobster [$23] I tried the one in Maine Style and I would say they are really generous with their lobsters & crabs. The bun is toast to perfection and I love how every bite to the bun is filled with meat - it just shows how they are not SHELLFISH 😍 However it would be good if it comes with fries (as sides). The shop does not have much tables & chairs (they have to share with the stall next door) + it's outdoor lol which makes the whole dining experience a little turn off. So I would say that if you wanna eat and chill.... this is not the stall for you 😅

Elderflower Mojito + Mixed Berry Sorbet All thanks to Burpple Beyond... This new kid on the block - WOOOOHOOOO...a Gem in the Heartland. 💸 : $8.60 for double scoop (premium flavours) 👅 💭: 😍 Definitely the best combination ever!!! Elderflower mojito: SOUR+ but i love it! Its so refreshing!!! Unless u love the sour power of the lime in this beauty, do not go for a single scoop of this! (U’ll probably not have the chance to do so cause there are so many yummy options that u want to have too!!!!) Mixed Berries: im a sucker for berry flavours. They are usually too sweet. BUT, together with the elderflower mojito, mhmmm, PERFECT BALANCE! Idk about u...i prefer denzy to BOP. 😋

1 For 1 Gelato Scoops With Waffles The waffles were light, airy and had the most delectable crispy crunch to them. I personally would have preferred the waffles to be a little bit denser, but they were still a perfect balance to the creamy, rich gelato and not too sweet or eggy. I liked the extra chocolate and caramel drizzle as a final touch. The 1 for 1 entitled us to a free premium scoop, and so we chose Macademia and Blondie Beach ice cream (the latter for its slight similarity to my personal favorite, salted caramel) for a total $9.60 including the waffle. I was impressed by the generous portion heaped onto the waffle and gelato's texture, stretchy and creamy without melting too fast. The Macademia gelato was gao with the familiar strong aftertaste of macademia nut while Blondie Beach had really distinct flavors of white chocolate and lime with a slightly salty aftertaste. I was really blown away by the latter because the different flavors were distinct and layered but still came together and tasted really amazing. I'm all about contrasting flavors in food, so this was a great effort in that. The ambience was cosy, clean and the service staff were attentive and friendly. Appreciated the free water and the fact that they use metal spoons to let you taste the ice cream :) 8/10

The most expensive fishball noodles we’ve ever tried. Massive seafood soup that has 2 whole abalones, fresh prawns, fishballs, meatballs and fish cake. It’s pretty worth it after using Burpple Beyond because there’s 1 for 1 and there were so many ingredients to finish (from the soup, noodles and chicken wings). We were so full after this. ~ 1 for 1 with @burrple #beyond • Set A Whole Abalone & Seafood Soup with Noodles Marinated Wings Ice Lemon Tea SGD22.20

Selling hawker fishball noodles near Boat Quay district would be quite a bold move but these guys have done it right. Priced higher than that in a food centre; it seemed expensive initially but was actually worthwhile after having tried it. The bowl of fishball noodles offered more than just bouncy delicious fishballs. There were generous amount of meatballs, fish cakes, dumplings, pork meat and liver, prawns and even 2 alluring abalones. The ingredient-noodles proportion was such that you’d not have to eat any mouth of noodles without an ingredient. And it was just great that everything tasted good, including the noodles and soup. For a set, it came with nicely done juicy chicken wings or fried fish balls or fish cakes. And there was alcoholic option over the usual beverages for drinks too. Overall, the set was a really hearty and tasty meal. With the @burpplebeyond app, the set was just a great steal. Apt to its location, its setting was updated making this attractive also to our foreign visitors. A good pick to introduce our local eats to friends from overseas.

Whole Abolone Seafood Soup Whole Abolone Seafood Soup ($15) . I doubt most people would go for this option @ahterfishballnoodlebar and we had to if we wanted tp use #burpplebeyond . So for $22.30, we got 2 giant bowls of this amazing seafood soup, 2 bowls of noodles, 2 iced lemon teas and 2 sides (we picked chicken wings & fishcake). This deal couldn’t be anymore worth it! Each bowl of soup had 2 of almost everything, fishballs, pork balls, liver, fish wonton, prawns, whole abalones! We especially loved the flavour of the soup. It reminded me a bit of the soupy bcm at 85 market as it was full of minced pork pieces.

Har Cheong Kai 鸡-ken Cutlet ($22++) When it comes to food that is a cumulation of various cultures and ideas that sprouted as a result of meandering from the norm (aka fusion food), there is somehow an inevitable formation of a grey area where the dishes become lacklustre and the fusion fails to even occur. Well thankfully, HĒ Bistro and Bar seems to lying comfortably, albeit just inches short of this uncertain area, serving up fusion dishes combining Western cuisine with Singaporean flavours. Their Har Cheong Kai 鸡-ken Cutlet ($22) arrives at the table looking like a simple chicken cutlet meal one can expect from a Western hawker stall, but a first bite of the crispy, golden-brown cutlet released that ever so familiar flavour of prawn paste chicken together with the thin but juicy deboned chicken drumstick meat. Served with a fresh salad, some fries (although written on the menu as criss-cut fries, I received straight-cut fries) and spicy chinchalok which gave a nice contrast of flavours. Their Chilli Crappy Pasta ($22) was however a fair bit of a let-down. The sauce was undesirably diluted and watery to say the least, and little of the actual chilli crab flavour was present. On the other hand, one of the sauces that managed to subdue my attention was the Kopi sauce used in their Kopi Ribeye Steak ($30), which seems to go surprisingly well with the beef given that coffee and meat is of course, a modern classic flavour combination. Suffice to say as a place serving fusion cuisine, there could definitely be more finesse in the execution of the dishes, despite its creative output.

Chilli Crab Bao ($8.90) & Golden Sharing Bites Set ($13) Ordered ala carte chilli crab bao to share with a friend because it sounds good, but unfortunately, both of us didn’t really like the bao filling because it tasted a little weird and the chilli crab sauce didn’t taste the same as the one that came with the sharing bites. The fried bao was good though. As for the Golden sharing bites, i think it comes with 6 pc nuggets, 6 pc fried mantou, curly fries, condensed milk, chilli crab sauce and curry(?). Well, we only dipped our mantou in the chilli crab sauce. The curry one didn’t taste like curry and we just didn’t know what it was. Hard to go wrong with the snacks from the sharing bites! Topped up $3 for 2 drinks as well, but we were only given choices of getting carbonated drinks and minute maid orange juice. Would have to top up an additional charge for the Seasons ice lemon tea.

Hawker Inspired Burgers A new concept by the no signboard seafood which converts our well loved local hawker dishes to interesting burgers. Imagine your favourite chilli crab has been shredded and compressed into a patty that was deep fried. The fried mantou that you used to dip the gravy is now a burger bun stuffed with the chilli gravy, shredded carrots-lettuce and the breaded crab patty. Tastewise, pretty decent. I wished there were more sweet chilli gravy to go together with the crab shreds in the patty. I would come back again to try their chicken rice and satay burgers because both look really interesting.
