Definitely Coming Back With brunch options, pastries & coffee, I shall return here again for sure. I'd order at the counter on the 1st floor, & head up the stairs to the 2nd floor to chill my morning/afternoon away. While there aren't many seats in this small space, the floor-to-ceiling windows let in great ambient light to brighten the premises - although unfortunately there isn't much of a view, looking out towards Clementi Road & the neighbouring overpass. There even is an easel for kids (& adults, I suppose) to draw on & express their artistic talents. But I'm happy to just sit in a corner, using their free WiFi & listening to their chill music playlist playing softly in the background. But for now, everyone stay safe & healthy... We'll get through this crazy month together. 馃挸 Accepts credit cards 馃尙 Air-conditioned seats available 鈽 Al fresco seats available 馃嵔 Burpple Beyond partner 馃嵔 Shopback GO partner 馃摱 Free WiFi available 馃挦 Water is not chargeable 馃檵馃徎鈥嶁檧锔 No service charge 馃毇 No GST 猬嗭笍 Seats available on 2nd floor

Fashionable Croissants I'm honestly so glad to have had this unexpected discovery that The M Plot serves more than just macarons! They have cool 1-for-1 macaron deals on Burpple Beyond, & also are sometimes referred to as "The M Plot Macarons" in full, hence my confusion. I bought some croissants home for my family - a sweet & savoury one. The Stego ($4.50 nett) is a roasted almond x almond paste variant, & the Mammoth ($4.90 nett) a pork floss one. IMHO these are priced quite steep, but with Shopback GO's 35% cashback, that eased the pain a little. I bought these as gifts, so I didn't get to try them... But here are some pictures. 馃挸 Accepts credit cards 馃尙 Air-conditioned seats available 鈽 Al fresco seats available 馃嵔 Burpple Beyond partner 馃嵔 Shopback GO partner 馃摱 Free WiFi available 馃挦 Water is not chargeable 馃檵馃徎鈥嶁檧锔 No service charge 馃毇 No GST 猬嗭笍 Seats available on 2nd floor

They Have Brunch Food Here! For my brunch main, I ordered the Organic Eggs Benedict ($18.00 nett), which is served on a single artisan sourdough bread. The 2 eggs were poached to perfection; as I cut into them, the yolks burst open with gusto onto the saut茅ed spinach & grilled ham underneath. The grilled ham was unfortunately way too salty for me, coupled with the already-tangy Hollandaise sauce, I felt the flavours were very overpowering. If the saltiness could be tweaked a little, I think this would be a stellar dish. The sourdough bread was easy to cut into, without a struggle - which I appreciate. 馃挸 Accepts credit cards 馃尙 Air-conditioned seats available 鈽 Al fresco seats available 馃嵔 Burpple Beyond partner 馃嵔 Shopback GO partner 馃摱 Free WiFi available 馃挦 Water is not chargeable 馃檵馃徎鈥嶁檧锔 No service charge 馃毇 No GST 猬嗭笍 Seats available on 2nd floor

Seasoned Gyutan Its my first time trying ox tongue, a local delicacy from Sendai in the Miyazaki prefecture (this one is from Senri)! The aburi smell was really strong and mouthwatering, and the aburi torching really gives it that oomph from the Maillard reaction. I could tell the cook on the beef was perfect. The beef itself doesn't have a super strong gamey flavor nor is it particularly juicy but it's got a distinctive chewy texture. I can see why this is an acquired taste. It comes with some spicy paste and I added an onsen egg to dip the beef into the glorious yellow yolk. It's also paired with some refreshing salad. I really liked this one and would go for a repeat order next time. This is the medium size with 150 grams of beef and cost $32. 8/10

Wagyu Hamburg Steak and Salad Set Good quality Japanese-style hamburg is hard to find but this one from the brand Fukuyoshi really ticked all the boxes. ($15) It is formulated with Hokkaido Kuroge Wagyu and is so delicate and tender it just barely holds together. The patty cuts open with the press of a fork. It is super juicy too, I can literally see the juices flowing out as I cut past that beautifully caramelized crust. I only wish it was seasoned a teeny weeny bit more, as I relied more on the accompanying sauce for flavor. It's served with great flair on a black ceramic plate with some crispy potato wedges and salad. 8/10

Karamasa Kaarage (4pcs) This is from the brand Karamasa, specializing in Kaarage, deep fried chicken. This is honestly a steal at $7.50 for four humongous chunks of chicken (I'm talking about the size of my palm kind of big), served with a salad. It tasted so authentic. The batter used was potato starch based, and just coats the huge piece of chicken evenly. (No huge chunks of flour or batter here!) The batter wasn't soggy and there was a perfect chicken to batter ratio. The chicken was deep-fried to a crispy perfection and yet still retained its tenderness and juiciness. There's an audible crunch when I bit into it, and I could actually taste the chicken juices erupt out of it. It comes with some sweet dipping sauce, but I would order the tartar version next time because I think this slightly underseasoned chicken needs the heaviness and richness of the tartar sauce. But still, this plate is honestly holds one of the most delicious and most value-for-money karaages around. 9.5/10
