Dry Laksa Pasta Not impressed. We ordered a sea bass and dry laksa pasta. Then (it seems) upon knowing we were on burpple, the staff came back and told us there was no more sea bass. Shortly after, another staff came along and served the sea bass dish. Imagine how we felt. We thought it wasn't very nice. He looked confused and actually left the dish at our table to check, and came back with the reason that the order belonged to someone else and it was the last one. Whatever they served later was hardly enjoyable becos the experience already left a bad taste. We concluded the best dish was definitely the dessert (to sweeten the experience on our own). The choc mud pie originally cost $7 and the size of it so small my already skeptical friend and I thought maybe it's actually sliced into half too. The silver lining is tt we shave some calories off our waistlines. . I believe in honesty and integrity in doing business. And I hardly bother to spend time writing bad reviews. here u have one.

For 1-for-1 Dinner Set (Main & Dessert) Wind down after work with excellent nosh and chill vibes at this bistro bar tucked away along Tanglin Road. Must-haves include the addictively spicy, tangy Chilli Crab Pasta ($17), and the Cheddar Cheese Bacon Waffles ($20) – think crispy and fluffy waffles with cheddar cheese and bacon bits incorporated into a fragrant waffle batter, resulting in a perfect savory balance. Daikon | Ikura | Chives Inspired by the traditional dimsum, Har Gow (Prawn Dumpling), the team of chefs came up with this interesting twist. Instead of the gelatin-like skin, a thinly sliced preserved daikon takes its place; covering grilled fresh prawns, packed with a bubbles of ikura and chives cream. To dress the dish, a crustacean foam, made from flower crab & prawns is layered on, together with burnt scallion oil. The combination is a mix of pure genius from the saltiness of each pop of ikura, together with the flavours of the sea with the crustacean foam to the sweetness of the daikon. The burnt scallion oil helped to elevate the saltiness to give it an extra oomph. Pumpkin Cracker As part of their 7 course rice-themed dinner, the pumpkin cracker was part of the starters. Inspired by the pumpkin cake from Guangzhou, this reinvented version is made of pumpkin purée, coated with rice crispies with seaweed powder, and rimmed with marinated egg yolk before being deep fried & served. The end result is a crispy savoury outer layer, with a soft sweet center of pumpkin purée. Each bite gives you that perfect crunch with a hint of sweetness trailing behind it. My secret indulgent food is dessert. Well, maybe not really a secret since half the time I’m posting about sweets. Arrays of these beautiful macarons that are just begging to eat, greet us when we push open the door to @the_m_plot. But big macarons caught our attention with flavours like Raspberry Lychee Rose & Chocolate Hazelnut Praline. The light floral fragrance from rose and lychee infused ganache complements the tangy raspberries! Raspberry Lychee Rose was a harmonious marriage of decadent flavour but Chocolate Hazelnut Praline was pretty well-balanced too. P.S: we managed to save with #burpplebeyond. Two big macarons along with two pot of hot tea at $13.50, it’s a super great deal! Check out my previous post to join in the giveaway for Burpple Beyond annual membership~ The M Plot Address: 9 King Albert Park, Unit 01-05 KAP, Singapore 598332 #Th_M_Plot #bigmacaron

Huge Macarons And Tea (1 For 1) Used the beyond deal for these macarons. A little too sweet but I guess that's how macarons are supposed to be. Ordered the raspberry lychee rose and chocolate pralines. Cost about $8.50 each. The raspberry macaron is more pleasing to me with a balance from the sweetness of raspberry and fragrance of lychee. Nice ambience to spend your weekends at.

For 1-for-1 Big Macaron & Tea (save ~$8.50) For a sweet tea time treat around King Albert Park, look to this cosy macaron boutique cafe. Burppler Ethel Tan sings high praises of the Raspberry Rose Lychee Macaron ($8.50), consisting of a light lychee cream and raspberries housed between fragrant rose flavoured shells. Pair that with a belly-warming pot of Chamomile Tea, and your afternoon is made. Photo by Burppler Ethel Tan
