Hainanese Chicken Satay ($9.80/5 pieces, $16.80/10 pieces, $26.80/20 pieces ). This is not your usual satay. Delectable marinate checked, beautiful grill checked, succulence and juiciness of chicken chunks checked, balance between chicken meat and fats checked. I usually avoid eating fats, but I found myself enjoying them here, especially coating with the thick peanut sauce that had an extra dimension of fruity sweetness from pineapple. Sprinkled with chopped peanuts and served with a side of sweet, spicy, sour, crunchy achar. Enjoy eating house and bar is also a #burpplebeyond partner where you can enjoy 1-for-1 mains (and drinks)!

Signature Salt Baked Seabass ($31.80). If you are dining in a group, this massive signature salt baked whole seabass is one good dish for sharing. Baked in salt to highlight the freshness and sweetness of the fish itself, you will be surprised by the myriad of herbs hidden within its stomach as it gets cut opened. It’s a clever way to infuse some green, herbaceous flavour to complement the freshness of the fish. Don’t forget the Thai-style dipping sauce to go with the fish, as it further accentuates the overall sweetness, a little tangy spiciness and some unami-ness from the fish sauce.

Singapore Style Chilli Prawns ($18.80). Add-on Mantous ($2/4 Pieces). A dish at @enjoyeatinghouse that got me all excited with its twist of fresh prawns cooked in Singapore’s very own famous chilli crab sauce. Swimming in the thick sauce were a whole lot of seafood gems including squid 🦑 and plump, juicy prawns 🦐 that were already de-shelled for diners’ convenience. Personally, the sauce was tangy and slightly sweet instead of a spicier kick that could have probably made it even more flavourful. Despite so, I would still gladly mop up the sauce with the crispy deep-fried mantous that should not be missed. • @enjoyeatinghouse is a #burpplebeyond partner; food is even more enjoyable when you get 1-for-1 mains!

Red Tom Yum Seafood Soup ($19.80) but BAD Service Alert!! We wanted to order 4 Set Bs (classic chicken noodle set @$16.80 each) with burpple beyond which meant that we should be paying a total of $33.60. However, they charged us $39.60 ($19.80 x 2) which was actually set A’s price. Upon clarification, the staff said that it’s because the burpple voucher is worth $19.80 so regardless of what we ordered we will be charged $19.80. This got us really confused so we showed the staff the menu on burpple’s website as nowhere in the menu stated that rule but he insisted that he needs to charge us $19.80 because we are using burpple beyond. Only if we are ordering set B normally then we will be charged $16.80 each. Because they are charging us $19.80 anyway, I changed my main dish to the red tomyum seafood soup as I had initially wanted to order it but decided not to as my friends all wanted the cheaper option. The red tomyum soup was reaaaally good — the spice was very authentic, it’s sticky noodles is chewy and cooked al dente, and they were extremely generous with their portions of fish, prawn, calamari and scallops! As their set comes with a drink too, I chose Iced Thai Milk Tea, which was a refreshing match to the red tomyum soup :) However, after we were done with our main dishes and excitedly waiting for our dessert (which was as included in EACH set), we were disappointed again. The staff told us that we’ll only be getting ONE dessert for 2 sets while the menu says that it’s supposed one dessert for 1 set. And they gave the same reason — because we used burpple beyond. As we were really quite done with the entire conversation, we just let it go and said it’s fine we will just have 2 desserts (even though we ordered 4 sets). But after that, they served 3 desserts which made us really confused, but we didn’t bother clarifying as at that point of time we just wanted to finish our food and leave. Tl;dr food is really authentic with generous portions. However, do clarify beforehand what the burpple beyond menu includes and make sure all the staff are on the same page because different staff were telling us different stuff and we definitely felt cheated throughout the whole dining experience.

Box Of 6 Macarons ($20) The macarons here are of unique flavours and aren’t too sweet too. They’re always good to have when needing a sweet treat after a long day 😌 I got salted egg with curry, Thai tea, dark chocolate, pistachio, white chocolate lychee and salted caramel.
My secret indulgent food is dessert. Well, maybe not really a secret since half the time I’m posting about sweets. Arrays of these beautiful macarons that are just begging to eat, greet us when we push open the door to @the_m_plot. But big macarons caught our attention with flavours like Raspberry Lychee Rose & Chocolate Hazelnut Praline. The light floral fragrance from rose and lychee infused ganache complements the tangy raspberries! Raspberry Lychee Rose was a harmonious marriage of decadent flavour but Chocolate Hazelnut Praline was pretty well-balanced too. P.S: we managed to save with #burpplebeyond. Two big macarons along with two pot of hot tea at $13.50, it’s a super great deal! Huge Macarons And Tea (1 For 1) Used the beyond deal for these macarons. A little too sweet but I guess that's how macarons are supposed to be. Ordered the raspberry lychee rose and chocolate pralines. Cost about $8.50 each. The raspberry macaron is more pleasing to me with a balance from the sweetness of raspberry and fragrance of lychee. Nice ambience to spend your weekends at.
