Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich First time at the newly opened Chico Loco and this really took the cake for me. The chicken was so well done and fried; wonderfully spiced and marinated on the outside with just the right amount of spiciness, and the chicken was so thick and tender within. The sesame buns for this sandwich were from Burnt Ends (same buns used for their Sanger) which was definitely a plus! Food worth getting dirty for indeed. Also, their salted coconut soft serve is great ✨

Extremely Large Chicken Burger Wow it was super big and my friend and I almost couldn’t finish it 😅 But it was tasty and extremely juicy!! Had to keep washing my hands cos the juice literally went everywhere The Mayo dip was super spicy for me but they kindly allowed me to put it on the side! Do remember to request for that if you can’t take spice like me Actually would’ve preferred my chicken to be slightly more well seasoned - but that’s just me because I tend to eat saltier foods. My friend found the burger to be perfectly well seasoned, so you’d best take my comment with a pinch of salt 🤪

[Chico Loco] - Spit Roasted Chicken (Quarter $9/Half $17/Whole $32). Homemade sauces are laborious tasks, so at $2 each is reasonable to me. Furthermore, each sauce is so punchy and full of kicks that you don't really need to soak your meat in it. Smokey Chipotle BBQ would be a safe bet, but what stood out for me is the Habanero & Mango, a fruity sauce with a fiery kick. The Chimichurri Yoghurt is superb with their lamb shoulder. All sauces and dressings are made with avocado oil if that is ever your concern. . Find out more at https://www.sgfoodonfoot.com/2019/05/chico-loco-amoy-street-new-concept-by.html . Build Your Own Bibimbap This delicious bibimbap contained seared soy citrus tuna on a coriander cauliflower rice base (additional $3). For the 5 toppings, I opted for the 'Let Omma Decide' option, which landed me with corn, chickpea, cabbage, edamame and cucumber. It was a total of $15.90 and I used the Burpple Beyond deal to get a slightly cheaper bibimbap for my dining partner. It came with a choice of 3 sauces and I chose to mix the Apple Cider Gochujang (mild, spicy, tangy korean chilli paste) and the Soy Garlic Jang (non-spicy, savory sauce). You then cover the bowl and shake until all the deliciousness is mixed up. I'm not a fan of Korean food and flavors at all, but I really liked this one. The sauces gave the perfect zing and all the ingredients were fresh and wholesome. The tuna, to my delight was seared on the spot and had a fresh, sweet, mild flavor. It was kind of like a more delightful zhnged-up salad. The cauliflower rice was super worth the upgrade as it made the bibimbap even more refreshing and easy to eat. And the cauliflower absorbed the sauces which significantly elevated its flavor. Best of all, all the bibimbaps were below 500 calories so I could definitely feel full and satiated without overindulging. :) 8/10

Supremo Porky Marinara The Long Pasta might be out of stock rather quickly, but that did not stop the kitchen from serving their Supremo Porky Marinara (S$14.00) with Curly Pasta instead. Although the purplish pasta lost its beauty in the red tomato sauce, the general taste of the dish was still acceptable, given that the pasta was close to al dente. The dish also came with sliced pork (Haus Bacon) and a large beef and pork meatball (Haus Meatball), which was perfect if meat is a staple in your food. However, what I truly enjoyed about the dish was the generous portion of Pork Croutons (also known as fried pork lard) amidst the sauce. Not only it added crunch, but also that fragrance of lard filled my mouth quickly as I minced it with my teeth. The good news was that with an additional S$2.50 for a free flow drink, one could easily get a friend to enjoy the same, thanks to Burpple Beyond! #BurppleBeyond

This dish might save Suntec City. Tucked in an inconspicuous corner of the confusing Suntec City, Pasta Supremo serves a masterpiece called Supremo Porky Marinara ($14). Let’s talk about the pasta sauce first. It’s a East-meet-West marinara sauce that’s sinfully and deliciously adorned with pork lards, giving a crackling and tasty bite. Yet not overly oily or heavy. The bacon and meatballs are in generous portions and are perfect with the topped parmesan cheese. Pro tip: Burpple Beyond has 1 for 1 promotion for this. What a deal. By the way, I was not exaggerating when I said this dish can save Suntec. My direction-challenged friend got lost in Suntec and swore she wouldn’t be back. But after this dish, she said she would be back. #truestory

Haus Pasta Din really like the weird cheese smell. Otherwise, the portion and the ambience of the restaurant is great.
