Traditional Baked Mooncake with Cempedek Paste ($65/box of 4). Besides the classic lotus paste with salted yolk, Amara Singapore is also launching one with cempedek paste. Rest assured that this isn't too quirky, because the cempedek paste was light, so it was still primarily a lotus paste mooncake with cempedek flavour. 🔸🔸🔸 [Media Drop] #AmaraSingapore #BecauseThisMomentMatters #foodphotography #fujixh1 #fujifilm #burpple #foodporn #sgfoodies #sgfood #foodsg #instasg #foodstagram #instafood #instafood_sg #f52grams #hungrygowhere #hotelsg #sgfoodblogger #sgig #thedailybite #burpplesg #foodie #stfoodtrending #midautumn #midautumn2019 #mooncake #mooncakesg #月饼 #pastry #sgfestival
🎶But I set FIRE to the rain~ Watched it pour as I touched your face~ Well, it BURNed while I cried, cuz I heard it screaming out your name~🎶 . If you’re dining at Silk Road, it’s a sin to leave without trying their famous Sichuan Style Wok-fried Chicken with Dried Red Chilli 辣子鸡 ($38++). 🤩🤩🤩 . You’ve been warned – this is not for the fainthearted. The level of spice was akin to 中辣 of Mala Xiang Guo, inherited from the plenty of dried chilli used. 🔥🔥🔥 While this is something that not everyone can handle, I must say that the flavours grew on me and I found myself reaching for more chicken chunks despite the slightly burning sensation that lingered. 🤤 . This is just the magic of spice/mala right? 🤣 It’s almost impossible to enjoy this without breaking into a sweat or go “oooh ahhhh” with that numb tongue that you can hardly feel, but it is just so SHIOK! 😋😋😋 Perhaps we all do like this kind of self-torture sometimes! 👍🏻
Silk Road at Amara Singapore Dump this dumplings 🥟 in my mouth now! These are the standards that I would expect from Amara. Thin skin that wraps the fillings perfectly. Fillings are the mixture of pork, prawns and chives. Dumplings also symbolizes wealth as they resembles golden or silver ingots. Get ready to HUAT at the Lunar New Year ala-carte or set menu at Silk Road until 19 February. Lunch: 11.30am to 3pm Dinner: 6pm to 10.30pm

A Wonderful Indulgence - The “Chocolate Divine” English Afternoon Tea H O S T E D Chocoholics, you have a reason to whoop for joy. From now until 8th April 2018, you can go nuts at the “Chocolate Divine” English Afternoon Tea at L’Espresso Tea Lounge in Goodwood Park Hotel. Specially crafted chocolate creations join the existing daily buffet. These include crispy sticks of exotic Dark Chocolate Grissinis enhanced by sea salt or Japanese pepper, toasted Ciabatta with a Chocolate Orange spread, Slowbaked Guanjana Chocolate Tartlet, Manjari Chocolate Caramel Shooters, Bitter Chocolate Mousse Delight, Chocolate Fondant, Chocolate Marble Light Cheesecake, Chocolate Macaron, White Chocolate Green Tea Cake and more. Sticks of fruit and marshmallow can also be coated in the smooth, thick chocolate that flows from a tall fountain. Having dined at L’Espresso Tea Lounge a few times before, I am familiar with the offerings there and was very glad to spot my favourite freshly-baked scones in the spread (the blueberry one is particularly scrumptious with a big cloud of clotted cream spooned on top). I found the quality of the sandwiches really decent as well as they came in different forms with assorted fillings. A couple of hot savoury items like the roasted chicken and other desserts gave me reasons to keep returning to the buffet too. ————————————————————————— Mon to Thur: Adult - $45++. Kid - $22.50++ Fri to Sun, the eve and on Public Holidays: Adult - $48++. Kid - $24++. —————————————————————————
English Afternoon Tea You will be super spoilt for choice with the selections of sweets and savouries here. The high tea even comes with two selections of TWG tea! One thing I also loved were the scones with clotted cream and jam. Perfect for a lovely afternoon with your girlfriends :)

Been back here twice, and this time to celebrate Mum's birthday! Yay! Food was so good, I cant show everything here but these are snippets. Favourites are the teas (lapsang souchong is my fave!), seafood congee (took at least 3 bowls), the sliced beef, chef's special cherry tomatoes, assorted caviar, macarons and the cinderella pumpkin mousse! I am not a high tea person, but definitely this is not the last they'll see of me back here! 😊 Also, note to self: try the tea cocktails, esp the one that has lapsang souchong syrup as the base 😍 #regentsingapore #tealounge #highteatime
High tea With Style With hand Crafted Desserts High tea with a different style.. selection was not much. But good enough to be full. The only only “insta” part was the hand crafted desserts which you don’t find them in other high tea buffets.. Do try it 😉

Straits Kitchen And Straits Café Not Same Same The Rendezvous hotel may be 1.5 stars below the Grand Hyatt, but the Straits Café is 2 or 3 levels below the Straits Kitchen restaurant. The buffet has both western and Asian dishes, although variety is quite limited. Ingredient quality is poor, and the food taste and flavour can be diplomatically described as mediocre, or realistically as off-putting. The service staff are friendly; problem is there aren’t enough of them - the stations (noodle soups, carvery) are often without help.

Often, when we think of buffet at @shangrilasg hotel, we thought of the buffet at the Line or the High tea at The Rose Veranda. We realise the Lobby Lounge is offering authentic Local Buffet Lunch. . Simply select one signature dish from the popular hawker dishes like Seng Kee Bar Chor Mee, Legendary Bak Kut Teh, Katong Laksa. They are curated by our culinary team and original recipe from the hawkers themselves. You get to also enjoy a good selection of local appetisers and desserts from the buffet. The buffet also includes a a cup of drink - Kopi Tarik, Teh Tarik, tea or coffee. I love the Bak Chor Mee especially it comes with a flavourful fish maw soup! The popiah and kueh pie tee is also very delicious. Not forgetting the delicious local desserts. A very value for money semibuffet. .
