Dirty Bun (Chocolate) My messy bread chronicles (IIII) Probably the most underwhelming out of my lot so far. The unpalatable floury-doughy after taste and semi-solidified chocolate spread within and across the bun were not exactly nice to have.

Chocolate Waffles ($2.20) they accepted cash on the shop only ah but the waffles alr made in advance before I order it. But I'm kinda skeptical ah so it's gonna to be nice or nt ? So the chocolate filling gonna impressed me tbh as the waffles just be kuek texture. 🫡

Mexican Coffee Bun Sugary coffee goodness with butter/cheese inside. Browned to perfection. My absolute favourite bread at only $1.50.

Chocolate Cake Beautifully designed but very weak chocolate flavour. Did not expect much as it was a last minute purchase. Will not buy again

Closest I can find to a good cinnamon roll. This is sticky monkey, nicely glazed and topped with a pecan.😋

Plain Waffle ($1.40) Been craving for waffles so decided to try the ones here. Got the plain waffle. Waffles were piping hot and thick. I like how the waffles are thicker than what you usually get elsewhere. It tasted not bad and the sweetness level was just nice. The only complaint I have is the low quality paper bag that they use. It has a certain smell which gets transferred to the waffles.

For attractive mini buns Lost control and bought ten of these golden buns which were beautifully displayed on the shelves of a bakery in Bishan central. At $3 for 5 pieces, these buns came in a wide range of fillings which includes the classic ones like ham and tuna, as well as unique ones like red bean banana and otah with cheese. Slightly sad that the savoury ones had very little filling, but at least the sweet ones were decent! In fact, the ones with banana were pretty good - huge chunks of sweet, gooey banana were used. The bread was very fluffy as well! 👍

Salty Mr Bean if you like tausarpiah, you should try this!!! it’s essentially the salty tsp filling encased in a soft fluffy bread. unlike regular tsp which can get quite dry after eating a few, the paste in this is sufficiently moist and has the perfect balance of sweet savoury without being too jelak. doesn’t look like it here but they were so generous w the fillings that i actually wished there was more bread for a better bread-to-filling ratio. other than that, this is definitely one of the better salted mung bean bread around

Sunflower Yam Bun ($1.60) i liked the yam paste which was quite smooth, fragrant and tbh tasted like orhnee. but the cookie crust on the outside added so much unnecessary sweetness that it kinda overpowered the yam...... the bread dough’s sweetness definitely needs to be toned down. really appreciated the sunflower seeds though!! they added a nice crunch and texture and helped alleviate the sweetness a little.

3Q Biscuit Overdue because I forgot what this is hahaha. Novel, combining lotus paste, yam and green tea in its filling.

Sunflower Yam ($1.60) Read a lot of good reviews of this bun, but I found the sunflower seeds too distracting from the thicc yam paste and so didn't enjoy it as much as others. I also felt that the cookie crumble-esque crust was unnecessary and added too much sweetness to the bread. I would stick to plain ol yam buns from now on!

Orh Nee Pure Yam Roll I'll believe if this is their signature item. Unique and strong. I love orh nee.

Waffles were okay only [MACPHERSON, SINGAPORE] Finally tried Garden Pastry's extremely popular waffles and is it worth the hype?? Unfortunately, I don't think so 🤣 Their waffle was firstly a whooping 55 minutes wait, which honestly was quite shocking for a neighbourhood bakery. After the long wait, the waffles indeed tasted decent but definitely not worth the long wait 🥲 The default texture for the waffles was soft, not crispy, but chewy with a kueh like texture. It definitely had a fragrant Pandan flavour which complemented well with their peanut butter. They did give quite a generous slap of it too! I wouldn't recommend going all the way for this waffle, but if there isn't a queue and you happen to be there, then sure it can be one of your snack options. Sad I couldn't try their taro swiss roll that day as well!

Salted Caramel Waffles ($2.60) I decided to explore deeper into paya lebar area (geylang east ctrl) for waffles with my sister. I noticed a lot of bakery (around 3 to 4 shops) selling waffles also along the way from bus stop at geylang east ctrl to aljunied ave 2) but then I preferred OG bakery over newly opened bakery lol at there. So it took us around 15 to 30 mins to walk in for waffles lol. You need to pay for waffles at cashier before waiting waffles for at least 45 mins to 1 hr to be ready. The taste for waffles was quite savoury tbh but the filling was just nice (not that little or too much) and also a bit sticky bc of caramel :")

Smoked Salmon So far many of the reviews say this place is really value for money and generous with the portions. Prepare not so for this dish. I think the portions so so. Taste is ok nothing out of the ordinary. I think I will try the other dishes

Matcha Latte I am pleasantly surprised to discover that they actually do such a nice cup of matcha latte. What a great discovery.

Pesto chicken & Egg Mayo Croissant ($14) Mint Mocha ($5.5) Love the atmosphere of the cafe, nice place to chill. Croissant was nice with the egg Mayo. Portion was just nice for its price as well.
