For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save~$25) Easties, mark this cosy restaurant in Kembangan down for date night. Order the Sorrel Salmon ($23) that sees poached salmon on a bed of spinach and zucchini, surrounded by a moat of sorrel cream. Craving for some desserts this mid of the week? The Hazelnut Praline Choux was a memorable piece not just for its form but taste as well. To our surprise, this was pretty big in size double that of a usual Choux. The perfectly baked crunchy pastry contrasted well with the smooth hazelnut cream in between. Simple as it was, this would be the benchmark of what we want for a Choux dessert. Of cos, there were other appealing items in their dessert menu to pick too.

Fancy a Chocolate Pappardelle? We succumbed to our curiosity and was relieved that it wasnโ€™t the dessert chocolatey taste that we feared for a savoury dish. Instead, the flavoured pasta complemented the braised beef in red wine jus for an earthy taste. It was comforting though there wasnโ€™t any punchy taste to stand out. Similarly, their Duck Confit Tagliatelle had a full-bodied kinda taste from the duck meat which was somewhat restrained. Perhaps it was the chefโ€™s intent to keep their pasta down-to-earth. Comparatively, to their starters had bolder and stronger flavours. The Squid Ink Bone Marrow was really memorable both visually and on the palate. A great contrast of textures between the marrow and crispy toasts. We were also delighted with the Honey Soy Crispy Chicken that would be a treat for everyone. Besides the dishes interesting savoury dishes on their menu, their desserts were as attractive to end a meal with.

Salmon $17.50 Burpple 1-for-1 Love how flavourful the baked vegetables were. The potatoes were nice and soft.

Chilli Crab Pasta ($18) The soft shell crabs were the first thing that caught my attention. They were deep fried and extremely crunchy. Itโ€™s pretty well battered and tasty. My only gripe was that itโ€™ll get soggy after getting soaked with the sauce! So tips to chomp these babies down first while itโ€™s still hot and crispy! The sauce was legit. Perhaps the cafe skeptic in me had low expectations of an Asian twist on pasta, but this chilli crab sauce satisfies my Asian taste bud. Eggy, spicy, and tangy from the lime โ€” it was just the right balance. Especially appreciated the generous lather of eggs. Wished I had some mantous to go along with this sauce (this view was echoed by several of my friends) Pasta was average, al-dente. Would recommend if youโ€™re into chilli crab and spice!

Brunch At HV #BuppleBeyond 1-1 Soft shell Crab Burger $14.50 Tomyum Seafood Pasta $15.50 Second time redeeming the Beyond deal. Soft shell Crab Burger just tasted like how its supposed to be, no surprises but ingredients were fresh and plentiful. But the Tomyum Seafood Pasta was a pleasant surprise. Tomyum was infused nicely into the perfectly cooked pasta, not spicy and very flavourful instead. Staffs were very efficient and friendly, and there's free flow of water available. Prices were affordable and Beyond made it even more worth it! Indoor seats were full when we reached at about noon on a sunday. Will definitely go back again for their Tomyum Seafood Pasta!

Miso White Chocolate Cookie Miso and white chocolate is a strange-sounding but daring combination and Woodlands Sourdough made it work so beautifully. First of all, the cookie ($3) is on the thin side (not those chunky American style cookies) has a soft, buttery texture, breaking apart easily when picked up. It's got the most satisfying crispy edge where the cookie is a bit more cooked and inside it is soft and creamy with the white chocolate. I prefer this to the chunky style haha. Flavor-wise, the miso provided a salty contrast against the sweet white chocolate. It's kinda like a mystery ingredient; if you didn't tell me there was miso, I wouldn't be able to identify it from the subtle, slightly umami flavor of the cookie. Really delicious treat. 9.5/10

Spelt Walnut Blondie I had but the vaguest idea what a blondie was. Apparently it's a brownie but with the chocolate replaced with a vanilla flavoring and utilizing brown sugar instead. And this delightful dessert ($5.50) worked so well. The mild vanilla flavor made the bittersweet chocolate chips swirled into the mix so much more pronounced and didn't allow the chocolate to overpower the mix or make the dessert too sickly sweet. The texture of the blondie itself is beautiful, just barely crumbling apart and the chocolate chips just perfectly melted. And the walnuts added a delightfully crunch. 9/10

Vegan Bialy This smelt really good esp because of the rosemary! The bread was chewy & tangy; the filling (potatoes w onions and sesame seeds) was soft and tasty. Yumz!!
