Chicken In A Biskit With Choc Pu'er Chef Kronos has outdone himself yet again. The ingenious chicken in a biskit really tastes exactly like the snack itself. So so nostalgic and addictive. Loved how the biscuits remain intact and not soggy despite sitting in the ice cream for so long. The choc pu'er has a great balance of the richness of the dark choc and the aroma of the Chinese tea. It was a wise decision for these two in a cup as they complimented each other without having one overpowering the other, hence allowing the appreciation of two distinctly different flavours.

4oz Ice Cream It is so worth it to get 1-for-1 ice cream at this shop. Shared this deal with my friend and each of us only had to pay $2.50. Good deal! Even better when there are interesting ice cream flavours for you to choose from. The salted egg ice cream is always a must-try and must-order for me, but this time round i decided to try something different. Chanced upon new flavours and decided to try them - white chocolate nori and parmesan cheese. Glad to say I have found my 2nd favourite flavour (white chocolate nori) which was like seaweed ice cream with white chocolate bits. So so good!

4 Oz Cup with double flavours ($5). 1-for-1 with #burpplebeyond! And again, trip to Tom’s Palette before they shut their doors next June! It’s a pity that they have no plans for relocation currently. This week, the rotation of flavours had some peculiar flavours like the white chocolate nori back while hazelnut latte that I really enjoyed on the last visit wasn’t available. Excited to see my favourite chocolate, After Eight, as one of the flavours. Milky chocolate with a mix of lingering sweet mint, but it would even be better with dark chocolate. Hence, I was recommended the non-dairy chocolate sorbet, which was nothing but an intense dark chocolate of depth. Dark chocolate lovers are bound to fall in love with this flavour! The other 2 flavours we chose were the peanut butter cookie, which I don’t really fancy though I have to admit that it tasted like a salty creamy peanut butter indeed, and a sweet-sour musky soursop flavour.

waffles w/ double scoop ($9.30 + $3.30) when I first tried Creamier a few years ago, I immediately fell in love with their waffles. eating it again today after a long time, I was glad that the waffles remained as yummy as I’d remembered. lightly crisp and golden on the outside while remaining warm and fluffy on the inside, it was already a joy to consume the waffles on their own. the buttery, milky fragrance of the waffles was distinct and comforting, accompanied with their textural lightness. meanwhile, I also managed to try their 4 basic ice cream flavours. my personal favourite was the chocolate; it had a hint of dark chocolate which I like along with a rich texture. the sea-salt gula melaka came a close second as I appreciated how the salty and sweet flavours balanced out to give a salted caramel-esque finish. as for the thai milk tea flavour, it was a well done ice cream rendition of the drink and was highly reminiscent of it, which makes it a safe choice for people who can’t decide between flavours. last but not least, the earl grey lavender boasted a floral fragrance throughout the dessert while maintaining a light flavour which is good as it does not weigh down one’s palate. all in all, I really like Creamier’s ice creams as they have really smooth yet substantial textures that are full of flavour while not being too sweet. also, the service staff were really friendly and helpful in assisting us with taste testing!

Waffle with Double Scoop Hopefully not my last visit to Creamier Toa Payoh! Was impressed with the root beer ice cream that came with popping candy to give the fizzy aftertaste. The chocolate banana was a let down though with barely a hint of banana. Waffle was great as usual- crispy outside and fluffy inside.

Waffles With Ice Cream $8.20 Got the red velvet waffles with cookies and cream, and charcoal waffles with cereal milk ice cream. Among all these (including service) I really only found the cereal milk passable. The waffles were oily soggy and bready. Cookies and cream had an oily after taste. Even with 1 for 1 it wasn't really worth the price, and I won't be back.

Spice It Up and Asian Flush The pasta is only worth if you use burpple 1 for 1 in my opinion, because it's not that tasty and the portions are quite small. The linguine for Spice It Up was a bit gelat especially with the copious amount of oil, but the prawns were quite juicy! Asian Flush had tomato cream on it which made it quite gelat; I almost couldn't finish it despite the small portion. However it was quite an interesting dish as it had tomato cream, curry leaves and bacon in it. Also had ice cream after even though we couldn't enjoy burpple 1 for 1 again and had Belgian dark chocolate (rich and creamy!!) and watermelon-calamansi sorbet (a very light and interesting flavour). I think the ice cream is a must try!

[Pasta] Green Eyed Monster & Spice It Up ($13.90) Kindred Folk is one of the rare places with both Burpple Beyond and Entertainer 1-for-1 where you can choose to use the deal for Pasta or Dessert. We used the pasta deal, where a single bowl of pasta would usually cost $13.90. This is pretty pricey for a single pasta dish at such a casual cafe, but actually very affordable and worth it after using the deal. Both the pastas were fantastic as the noodles were done al dense and I loved how firm they were. If you’re a fan of bold flavours, go for the Spice It Up which is a tom yum aglio olio linguine with sautéed prawns. For a slightly muted but aromatic dish, go for the Green Eyed Monster which is penne and chicken breast tossed in a Thai green curry cream sauce. We enjoyed both pastas and will be back to use the other deals too!

New Found Waffle Spot Highly hyped about, Apiary is one of those rare places that live up to its hype 🍦 Upon entering, the strong buttermilk smell hits you, and you kinda just have to order the waffles... so that’s exactly what I did!! . Apiary has many unique flavours like blue milk (a salty-ish sweet blue ice cream), we-can (whisky and pecan- you can taste the alcohol!), the Apiary (a honeycomb ice cream) etc. Tried a couple of the flavours and decided to get Lavender and Ferrero Rocher (premium flavour +0.70) . LET me tell y’all how good it was.... waffles done EXACTLY how I liked it, thick, soft, not too airy and moist, but still retains it shape. Ice cream was so smooth- Lavender taste was mild enough so that you wouldn’t be thrown off by the lavender but not tasteless, ferrero rocher light such that it wouldn’t feel like you were gonna get a sore throat. Chocolate sauce and caramel syrup added that extra dimension to this dessert🍫 I’m in luv... waffles with double scoop ice cream ($5.50+ $3.80 +$3.80+$0.70) 🌿 9/10

3 Scopes And 2 Cones For $14.90 Craving for some ice cream after the shopping malls are closed and PB found this! Greedy me could not decide what to have so ordered a blue milk for him and the apiary and "we can" (whisky and pecan) for me! "No one has dropped it before so don't be the first" hahaha... was the response to my "will my double scope of ice cream drop" facial expression.. Will be back to try other flavours!
