Spicy Salmon Don Le Coq’s Spicy Salmon Don! I topped up $1 to change sushi rice to quinoa and it was definitely the right decision to do so. My dinner partner was so jealous of my quinoa (cus he didn’t change his) the entire dinner! ⁣ ⁣ They were super generous with the salmon, I was literally left with chunks of salmon towards the end of my bowl. Freshness and the texture of the salmon was acceptable for this price (also because I had burpple beyond, it was 1-1!!!). ⁣ ⁣ Would definitely go back again to try the other signatures on the menu esp the signature roasted chicken!⁣

Delicious Roast Chicken with Quinoa Came here for lunch using 1-1 burpple beyond, ordered the roast chicken rice and the truffle beef don. Firstly notice the serving size difference, the Beef Don was tiny !! It barely tickles the stomach, even though its was same price ($16.9 nett) as the chicken dish which came with two chicken legs and a decent amount of quinoa. I'd feel robbed if I was paying full price. The roasted chicken was delicious, tender, well seasoned and the quinoa tasted like chicken rice but with Quinoa instead which is much healthier. It was one of the recommended dishes on the menu. Won't be coming back for the truffle beef don that's for sure.

Mushroom Aglio Olio ($16) Aglio olio is a simple dish that most people can hardly execute well, but Le Coq is not most people. I love how smokey and garlicky this dish is, although it is definitely not for the purists. Loaded with mushroom to give an earthy note, the angel hair pasta was addictive and a lil spicy.

Apple Sorbet ($7.50) Sakae Sushi was one of the earliest conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Singapore. However, their brand have since fallen on the back seat due to the emergence of fellow competitors. At a recent Eatup, we were treated to some of the food from their revamped menu and i was pleasantly surprised by the quality and array of items. The other dessert we tried was the Apple Sorbet which was also very enjoyable. This was basically like having Fuji Apple in sorbet form, so refreshing! And the presentation of the dessert was very admirable too, so pretty! Thanks Burpple for inviting and Sakae Sushi for hosting us. #BurppleEatup

Durian Mochi ($4.50) Sakae Sushi was one of the earliest conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Singapore. However, their brand have since fallen on the back seat due to the emergence of fellow competitors. At a recent Eatup, we were treated to some of the food from their revamped menu and i was pleasantly surprised by the quality and array of items. For desserts, the Durian Mochi was very enjoyable for me as i’m a huge durian lover. Hidden under each soft snow skins were durian flesh that were sweet and bursting with durian flavour. Shiok! Thanks Burpple for inviting and Sakae Sushi for hosting us. #BurppleEatup

Chicken with Truffle Mayo ($12) Sakae Sushi was one of the earliest conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Singapore. However, their brand have since fallen on the back seat due to the emergence of fellow competitors. At a recent Eatup, we were treated to some of the food from their revamped menu and i was pleasantly surprised by the quality and array of items. That said, the Chicken with Truffle Mayo (only available at Sakae Sushi’s Teppanyaki outlets) was pretty good. The chicken was quite juicy and flavourful, and when you dip it with the addictive truffle mayo sauce, you just cannot stop at one! Thanks Burpple for inviting and Sakae Sushi for hosting us. #BurppleEatup
