Penang Char Kway Teow ($5.50) Aromatic "wok-hei" permeated the oodles of noodles completely. And because it was relatively grease-free, I hardly felt the twinge of guilt that usually accompanies the act of me falling face first into a plate of "char kway teow". The only thing I would change about this is the beansprouts. They could do with some fattening up.

Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun Soup ($4.50) I have walked past here several times at night and it's always full of customers feasting on their steaming hot pots of "Malacca Satay Lok Lok". I haven't tried it for myself so I can't comment but I did have their "Ipoh Chicken Hor Fun Soup" and it was really satisfying. They're generous with the smooth rice noodles - almost too generous in fact. And although the plentiful shredded chicken breast meat was a bit on the stringy side, all was forgiven when I sipped the soup. It was clear but full of flavour, and it had crispy bits of fried pork lard in it! Ok, anything with fried pork lard gets me beaming, so I was immediately nodding my head happily as I sucked up every drop of soup from the bowl. They also have this wonderful spicy chicken rice chilli sauce which went very well with the "hor fun" and shredded chicken. Another plus point is they are open till 2am every single night so I know where to go if I feel like having a healthy supper :)

Never Again Black pepper beef and rice $5 Even if you are desperate, you can do better. Tell your stomach to chill a little so your mouth doesn't suffer on its behalf. Maybe it was bc I had this at 5am while frustrated and running on severe sleep deprivation, but no one should ever have to eat this. Give me an onigiri from 7-11 any other day.

Grilled Chicken With Mushroom Sauce ($4) So i came for this overhype shiat that everyone has been talking about since the pok茅mon days.. I gotta say i'm royally disappointed. I mean i like the concept that everything is automated and looks neat. Even the cutlery dispenser is pretty cool. But honestly the food really need some serious qc..My grilled chicken was tough af. Given that it's thigh meat, man..I guess my chicken must have been doing squats everyday before it got culled. The sauce was alright but my mashed potato was like potato cream...yuck. And i thought ok maybe it's just one dish that they f it up..so i ordered the Japanese Curry Rice ($5). I mean u can't go wrong with that or at least i never tasted a really bad Jap curry rice before. Well, what do you know..They just have to prove me wrong and i was f in the a once again.. For god sake I have never tasted Jap curry rice this nasty before.. There was like almost no gravy in existence at all. Rice was clumpy af that when i scooped it up the whole base of rice just lifted along with my spoon. I give it to you that you have a real sturdy set of cutlery but boy, i'm not here to be amazed balls by ur cutlery!! I swear in my last name that the microwaveable food that 7-11 serves taste easily 10 times more satisfiable than this crap..And what's more, 7-11 is easily available anywhere. Why do i need to travel to Sengkang..Sorry for the profanities but i can't hold it in any longer. Bottom line, this is nay for me... 姒傚康鏄笉閷絾椋熺墿鍛抽亾鐪熶粬濯界殑闇瑕佸ぇ閲忕殑瑾挎暣

UFO (Unusual Food Outlet). Located at Jurong Point Shopping Centre, JP 2 Mongkok Street #03-89D, right opposite Crystal Jade Kitchen. Newly open shop that sells Sweet Crepe, Savoury Crepe, Japanese Rice & Drinks. All their crepes were based on French recipe and made locally here in the shop. These crepes are amazing! They are crispy on the outside, but still maintain softness in some areas in the Crepe. They created more local flavours to suit our taste bud too. This time round, we tried their Signature from the Sweet Crepe range - Sweet Nutella Sweet Potatoes & Marshmallows Crepe, $4.20. Crepe was fragrantly thin and crispy. They are quite generous with their fillings! From the top view, we can see their purple and orange sweet potatoes, marshmallow, Nutella!! Perfectly satisfying and yummy for our sweet tooth, and it鈥檚 worth-the-money as it鈥檚 rather filing! 鈥 鈥 Thank you, Darius for hosting us! He鈥檚 very warm, friendly and even explained in detail to us the way how the crepes are used to bring out the flavor of the food! @ufosgp #hungryunicornsg #ufosgp #crepes #crepe #sweetcrepes

Nutella Sweet Potatoes & Marshmallows Crepe Situated at Jurong Point鈥檚 Mongkok Street, this is an Unusual Food Outlet (UFO) you won鈥檛 want to miss. Opened just around September last year, its menu offers a selection of mainly sweet and savoury crepes. To complete your meal, you can simply add-on a refreshing drink of your choice such as their signature, Yuzu Plum Soda. I absolutely love the yogurt popping bobas in it! Featured here is their signature sweet crepes, a perfect harmony of Nutella, sweet potatoes and marshmallows. As introduced by the owner, the crepes here at UFO are made to be on the softer side, alike French Cr锚pes, while still maintaining that slight crisp at the top area. It was certainly a great dessert to end the night and I can foresee myself trying the savoury crepes soon! Thanks @ufosgp for the invite! Rating: 猸愶笍猸愶笍猸愶笍猸愶笍

Chilli crab curry puff [$2.20/ pc, $4 for 2] . . Launched in conjunction with National Day, this new flavour is only available for a limited time! 馃馃尪 Decided to try it upon recommendation from one of my followers and true enough, it surpassed my expectations! 鉁 Within the crisp red exterior lies a substantial fillings of fresh, juicy REAL crabmeat chunks coated in chilli crab sauce that鈥檚 tangy, flavourful with a pleasant tinge of spice! As a fan of spicy food, I am glad the one here was pretty distinct and pronounced, unlike some chilli crab sauces that鈥檚 sweet with a tomatoe-y flavour. Wouldn鈥檛 mind giving this a 2nd shot certainly! 鉁 . . . . #burpple #oldchangkeesingapore #oldchangkee

Have you tried the Old Chang Kee @oldchangkeesingapore 鈥淣asi Lemak Curry Puff鈥? This Nasi Lemak Chicken鈥橭 was still quite unexpected 鈥 the 鈥榤arrying鈥 of one of Singapore鈥檚 favourite local dish and OCK Curry Puff. Ah oh! It did taste like Nasi Lemak in a puff, better than what I imagined it to be. My mind probably needed so tuning, as this was a familiar yet exciting taste. Each Nasi Lemak Chicken鈥橭 contains the favourite Nasi Lemak ingredients such as egg, chicken, peanuts, ikan bilis and the most important sambal chili. There was no potatoes added, but I am not complaining as there was quite a bit of chicken chunks. http://danielfooddiary.com/2018/03/15/oldchangkeesg/ #DFDSP
