Salted Caramel’s Ice Cream And Waffle All time favourite crispy waffles with earl grey and chamomile honey ice cream drizzled with salted caramel sauce, best combination ever! Waffles did not turn soggy fast, remained crispy despite the ice cream sitting on it for sometime. Earl grey ice cream was my fav and no.1 choice because of it’s taste.. the taste of earl grey wasnt subtle at all! 👍🏼 similarly for Chamomile honey.. less guilty because it’s honey🤣 but it was a really comforting dessert after a heavy meal and humid day! Food: 10/10 Ambience: 8/10 (Seating area quite limited, might not be able to get seats on peak hrs but super aesthetic and clean)

ice cream Ordered a double scoop ($7.60 + $1 per premium flavour) on a waffle bowl ($1) - didn’t like these flavours as much. The houjicha was a tad too sweet, albeit smokey and rich. The dark forest tasted like Meiji chocolate milk with some bites of chocolate cake and pieces of cherries - no hint of brandy at all and certainly not worth the premium!

rediscovered gems Never quite liked the Salted Caramel at Thomson, but decided to give this new outlet a try. Was very very pleasantly surprised at how decadent their ice cream is now! Opted for a double scoop ($7.60 + $1 per premium flavour) on a waffle bowl ($1). The rum & raisin packs the heat of alcohol but rounds it off nicely with juicy sweetness. The pistachio is rich and creamy, with large chunks of nuts folded within!

Cheesecake Tarts. 4 flavours: Espresso, Lychee, New York Cheesecake, Oreo. Espresso & Lychee are the two new flavours. Light cheesecake fillings with biscuit-like crust. My favourite gotta be the lychee! #teamlychee

Orange-Chocolate custard tart Quite interesting, and not too sweet. Crunchy base and smooth custard with a subtle caramelised sugar fragrance to it.

Kampung Chicken Rice Good tender chicken with jelly goodness, chili is a must have Overall not WOAH but definitely good chicken rice

Fried Dumpling Kolo Mee Wasn't intending to lunch here but I am glad I finally am able to strike this off my personal to-try list after so long! Hadn't had many Kolo Mee in my life but this wasn't quite as chewy as the one I have had at Oil Town Sarawak Kolo Mee in Yishun — this felt overall a little bit more moist and felt like as though it was cooked a little too long. Nonetheless it still works well especially since its laced in this savoury sauce after being mixed, and those fried dumplings were decently crisp and quite reasonably packed with meat too. The portion of noodles was also pretty generous for a $3.50 bowl of noddles — totally would be fine for me to finish if I skipped a meal in the middle of the day!

Kampung Chicken🐓 ($9/2pax) Chicken riceeeeee, my guilty pleasure. 😝This silky, smooth version from Chicken House using kampung chicken was certainly as good as it sounded on Burpple! While not the best I've had, the chicken was surprisingly tender for kampung chicken and very tasty, sitting in a pool of sauces that's perfect for spooning over your rice. The only thing that was kinda off-putting was the super peppery soup. 🔥

Gimbap ($10) Gimbap ($10), essentially rice rolled in seaweed with selected ingredients, is one of my favourite Korean signature foods and my must-order if the Korean restaurant I visit serves it. Woorinara Korean Restaurant (@woorinara.sg) serves the traditional gimbap rolled with vegetables and spam, as well as another version rolled with cheese.

Beef Bulgogi ($15 with rice) Bukit Timah area is a strong battleground for Korean restaurants in Singapore. For a meat lover like me, the Beef Bulgogi ($15 with rice) from Woorinara Korean Restaurant (@woorinara.sg) has won me over with its robust sweet and savoury marinated beef. 😍 Thick and big slices of beef served on a piping hot plate, every piece was so tender and flavourful, we finished them in no time. If only I could have this everyday without a care of my waistline 😆.

Cheese Seafood & Kimchi Pancake ($23) Cheese Seafood & Kimchi Pancake ($23) from Woorinara Korean Restaurant (@woorinara.sg) was totally on point with the satisfying cheese pull, 🤤 it was crispy around the edges and moist in the center. For the price point, I was expecting at least a few chunks of squid and succulent prawns (like what we had in Korea). Well, it was still comforting to find a few emaciated shrimps 😅.

Average Food, Rude Wait Staff Food was pricey and mediocre. Wait staff were impatient and rude. Meat was sold by weight, staff dropped a portion on the floor and refused to replace it until we emphasised on it multiple times. Before doing so, they tried to push it on us being cheap by saying, “are you sure you want us to replace one piece of beef? If you really want that one piece of beef, we will specially ask the boss on your behalf”. Baffling.

Kim’s Family Restaurant if you’re craving for Korean food any point in time, you can help yourself by dining in at Kim’s family restaurant, greeted by courteous crew! Highlight definitely goes to their banchan (sides) as well as their mini yakult~ Go with the usual, order one or two of their stews to share & you’ll definitely have your stomach filled to the brim — with their unlimited toppings of banchan! ☺️👍🏻 Worth a visit!

Might Have Ordered The "wrong" Dishes We got the pork bulgogi and the fish cake soup. Wasn't especially delicious but I'd like to go again to give the bbq a try!

Meat Lover Okonomiyaki Meat Lover Okonomiyaki [Bacon, Pork Belly and Cheese]: $16.00 Japanese style pizza with cabbage, ginger, scallions, egg, okonomiyaki sauce and bonito flakes This was a little bit of a lackluster experience for me. For a specialised okonomiyaki shop, it’s ironic that the side dishes tasted better than the actual okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki was alright, not mind blowing. The taste of pickled ginger was rather overpowering and I couldn’t appreciate the rest of the toppings that we ordered as it was overpowered. 10/10 Good place to go for desserts. Crispy and light waffle + it was perfect with the ice cream & caramelised bananas. + good ambience with nice decor and cute menu.

Cakes & Coffee I’m not a fan of the pastas here, but Revelry can be pretty decent if you order the right thing. The earl grey lavender cake and latte was one of them. Cake was surprisingly moist and the coffee was good!

Chicken & Waffle - $19 This was the best waffle that I have had. Waffle was soft, fluffy and crispy. Chicken was well fried and juicy

Best Tomyam pasta I had! Best Tomyam pasta I ever had!! The serving contains generous portion of prawns and big clams which make this dish worth every penny. The sauce is also creamy, flavourful and thick which is just to my likings. The staff were also really friendly and responded to our request promptly. I will definitely recommend anyone who loves seafood or pasta in general to come down and try it for yourself. I promise it is worth the time and trouble. 10/10 would dine there again!! :D

Lunch At Signature Patisserie Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Ordered a breakfast burger, a spinach and mushroom carbonara,1 minty honey lemon tea, 1 iced tea and a burnt cheesecake. They were pretty generous with the portion. I liked the breakfast burger very much. The burger was made up of a brioche where the filling was scrambled egg, sausages, turkey bacon and avocado. It was served with a Side - tater tots. As you bite into the burger, the fluffy scrambled eggs will ooze out or at times the avocado. Every bite into the burger is full of goodness! A pity the did not provide some sauces the tater tots would have gone well with some ketchup or Chili sauce. The iced tea was not that great as it tasted bitter. Likely the server had let the tea steeped too long in the water. Minty honey lemon was not bad. Apparently, the ice needed to melt a little for the drink to taste good. As for the burnt cheesecake, hmmm it was alright. Ambience of the cafe/restaurant was nice. We could spend sometime eating and chatting without having to shout to each other to be heard.

Muffins and Tea Latte I’m a huge fan of their muffins! Love the chocolate based muffins that have a hard exterior and warm and gooey centre. Great place with friendly staff and owner!

Consistently Good Coffee My go-to place for my coffee runs, highly recommend getting the double shot Flat White if you like your coffees strong and nutty! 💙

Diy Brunch Check out this lovely cafe at bukit timah. They have Mains,which looked great as well

NO GST NO SERVICE CHARGE??? this place was a gem; they definitely do not compromise the quality with its affordable prices! i’ll definitely be back for more — the chicken p smt ($15) was so goood; flavourful and juicy

tea break Made with beans from Liberty Coffee, the flat white ($5.20) had a dark roast and slightly malty flavour! Paired nicely with the sharp tang of the passionfruit meringue tart ($6.80) - I prefer my tart bases more crumbly and buttery, but their passionfruit filling is hands down the best I’ve had and keeps me coming back for more!

Pistachio Raspberry Cake ($9) This cake gets a 9.5/10 from me! 🌟 And people who know me would know I LOVEEE cake and I eat cake like 2-3x per week haha. This cake was denser side but what amazed me was the rich fragrant pistachio nutty flavour that really came through. There was also just the right amount of buttercream and a layer of raspberry jam to add a sweet-sour finish. Last but not least, the chopped pistachios on top added a nice contrasting crunch.

@carpenterandcook Raspberry Rose Cake 🍰 always wanted to chill here as the aesthetic is really 💯 so retro and also chill. Ordered this without much expectations but wow this is pretty amazing. The flowers at the sides are edible and it definitely gives the cake additional feels. The beautiful ombre/pastel colour makes the cake extra instagram worthy. Also, the cake isn't too sweet and at the same time very aromatic. #myheartapprove this and would go back again for it! - 🤑: SGD 8.50 - 👅: 4/5

Hidden Gem All the food here was honestly so good I don’t even know where to begin! We got the Mixed Charcuterie Board, focaccia with Melted Camembert Fondue, Angus Ribeye, Seafood Paella, Pork Meatballs Pasta and Sangria. My favourite was the meatball pasta (which I sadly didn’t get a picture of) which was full of tomatoey goodness! The paella came with generous portions of seafood, while the ribeye was nicely seared on the outside and tender inside (special shout-out to the side of potatoes which stole the show). We all unanimously favoured the prosciutto in the charcuterie board, which went really well with the Camembert and bread 😋 Genuinely a great place with friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. Will definitely be back again! Taste: 5/5 ⭐️ Value for money: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5

Overrated Food We ordered paella, pork cheek, crab bongo stew and prawns. Definitely think it's not worth the high reviews and price. Food was alright but no wow factor. Pork cheek was extremely oily as seen in photo. There was more oil than the mustard sauce itself :( quite disappointed.

Seafood Paella ($24) This is the medium size, because small ($15) is only available for lunch. Generous with the seafood, and I especially liked the raisins that came in the rice that added a nice sweetness to it. I'd suggest getting a counter seat to watch the chefs in action - makes the meal so much more fun!

Featured are the mains we had. 。 Although their signature poké bowl came with a generous amount of tobiko, it didn’t fare as well as their beef cheek dish. The fork-tender meat fell apart easily upon contact with the knife, and was nicely seasoned in their tasty brown jus. Not forgetting their well-executed truffle mash, which was light, fluffy and aromatic too. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eatigo 50%-Off I liked the al dente served beef bolognese spaghetti (original price $14.50+) and the vegetable-filled minestrone soup ($4.50+). My dd enjoyed the braised beef cheek in truffle mash ($24.50+) very much. The chef was very generous with the prawns in the prawn salad ($11.90+). Thank you chef 😁
